Multilingual Observation | Reflection | The Magic of Calling a Name
[Closing Remarks - Greetings]
We have looked at words of greeting up to this point.
Meeting, expressing gratitude, apologizing, and parting.
Each of these words has created and adjusted the distance between people.
Beyond the words of greeting, there is another, quiet call.
That is, a name.
When we are called by name, we are not just hearing a sound.
In that moment, 'I' am being pointed out within the world.
A call is not meant to move the other person.
It is meant to gently bring their existence to the surface.
Every time we call a name, the world changes its shape just a little bit more.
Since the day I named this observation activity 'Multilingual Observation,' the perspective of 'Multilingual Observation' was born into the world, and I have written 99 pieces so far.
The next one will be exactly the 100th.
What has become of the existence of 'Multilingual Observation' now?
