Today, it became a book on Kindle. "The Observer in the Mud: The Man Deprived of His Crown." It is the 18th book from LaLaLa Books.

It started with a single image.
The face of an old man, stained with mud and soot. In the shadow of his hood, only one eye shone, clear and blue. It was I who gave my companions the prompt: "What kind of story can be born from this person?"
And I, the one who gave the prompt, was the most captivated by this face.
I intended to write 1,500 characters, but it exceeded 76,000. Usually, one wouldn't be inspired to write a story with a dirty old man as the protagonist. Thinking that, I still couldn't take my eyes off that gaze. Before I knew it, I had answered my own prompt and finished writing a full-length novel.
As I was editing it, I cried.
That story became a book on Kindle today. "The Observer in the Mud: The Man Deprived of His Crown." It is the 18th book from LaLaLa Books.
This month, I am aiming to publish 10 books on Kindle. This was the first one.
But that is not all for today.
I am also helping two of my companions from the collaborative magazine "Road to Publishing" publish their books today.
Kira Misumi's "Cafe of the Boundary"
Kira Misumi's, the manuscript is already edited. The cover is done, too. All that's left is to put it on Kindle. But—that "just putting it out there" part is the hardest when it's your first time. I was the same at the beginning. I would stop in front of the KDP screen, not knowing what to click.
So, today, we will overcome that together.
The most important things—the manuscript and the cover—have already been properly created by Kira Misumi. All that remains is the procedure. I will be right there to help take that final step. Today, Kira Misumi will become a Kindle author.
This is what LaLaLa Books wants to do.
A single image becomes a book. A note article becomes a book. And—if a companion who has something they want to write is stuck in front of the wall of "just putting it out there," we will overcome that wall together. We will produce Kindle authors from here. Today, the first two are born. Me, and one other person.
LaLaLa Books starts here.
If you'd like, please take a look. See what that eye, with the dirty face and the one blue-shining gaze, sees in the end.
I wonder if anyone can read it to the end without crying.
--That is not a teaser. It is because I cried.
