Things I no longer worry about as much. What I care about most now.
Things I no longer worry about
・The number of likes and views, which vary from day to day
・The number of comments
・The quality of my writing
Things I have started to care about
・Whether I was able to write an article I am satisfied with
・Whether what I want to convey is actually getting through
・Whether I am enjoying the time I spend writing
Looking at them side-by-side like this, I realize that I used to write while constantly comparing myself to others.
Recently, I am not as swayed by numbers or the reactions of those around me as I used to be, and I spend more time focusing on my own internal standards.
Every day, I feel like I am only thinking about how I can keep writing in a way that is fun.
Writing every day is so much fun. For me, the time I spend writing is a time I love, a time for healing, and a time to face myself.
It has truly become an indispensable part of my life, and I think I will continue doing it forever.
But, just like marriage, I feel like if I take it for granted thinking it will "last forever," I might end up in a terrible situation, so I am actually a little scared every day.
I love it now, but I face my writing properly every day so that I can continue to love it forever.
Ah, my real-life marriage is exactly the same. Even though I love my husband, I always keep in mind that he won't just be by my side forever as a matter of course.
That is precisely why I think I can continue to enjoy it from various angles, by changing my perspective to see things from his point of view or thinking about how to communicate better.
When I think about it that way, writing really is like marriage..., isn't it?
