What we did in this session was not reviewing the household budget or identifying waste, but
gathering the traces of your daily life in one placeThat is all.
Receipts are materials for 'observing the traces.'
In other words, they are a mirror for noticing your own shopping habits and your usual choices.
'I'm buying this again,' 'I choose this often.'
You can feel those small realizations even without keeping a household budget, right?
In this course, we start by just observing those 'realizations' without turning them into self-reflection or corrections. That is why, for now, you just collect them. We will not categorize, calculate, or evaluate them.
Putting them in a transparent bag is for the purpose of
"seeing them without hiding them, but also without judging them."
As long as they are deep in your wallet or a drawer,
you can pretend the expenses never happened.
But when you put them in a visible place, they simply become information.
"That's a lot," or "That's less than I thought."
That alone is enough to make a judgment.
