Where have the stars gone...
The air is clear in winter.
They say the stars are easy to see.
But the city sky is too bright, and their radiance does not reach us.
The hazy moon looks lonely.
The city emits light as if it fears the darkness.
Artificial brightness hides the shadows and obscures tomorrow.
We are deceived into thinking dreams exist within this light,
told that we will trip if we look at the sky,
and lectured that if we stay in this world, we can live happily.
I cannot smile when I am not happy.
Superficial words do not bring tears.
I do not want to kneel before false power.
A world of light that pretends to be prosperous.
There were times I almost gave in to the temptation.
But there is a place I want to go, rather than being swept away.
A path illuminated by the lights of nameless people.
Breaking through stagnant air and tainted clouds,
stars that have traveled through long ages to deliver only their brilliance.
Falling down, crawling on the ground,
only those who have tasted it can understand.
The coldness of the asphalt.
The sky you cannot see unless you lie down.
The stars hidden there.
Looking up at the sky to try and stand again,
I search for the light of the stars that should be there.
For the tomorrow that will help me take a step forward.
For the stars that should be lighting my way.
