Something everyone deeply desires in their heart

“To live freely...”

Design your career and life flexibly; map out your future and career as many times as you like, in your own way. And you will surely be able to get closer to the form you truly desire.

[Let's create your life content!]

First, let's map it out!
1. About you
If you could describe yourself in one word?

2. Your experience
The experiences and journey you have accumulated so far.

3. Skills, strengths, and expertise
What you are good at, and the skills or areas of expertise that serve as your weapons.

4. Career plan
A blueprint for the future, mapping out what kind of career you want to build from here on.

5. Your dreams
What you truly want to achieve, and the values you hold dear.

6. Your place
Where you are right now, and the place where you can be 'yourself'.

My goal is 'career design that allows you to fully enjoy a life that is uniquely yours'.

Based on real-world voices from Silicon Valley and the tech industry, I value sharing 'conversion codes' to help you continue walking your 'own career path,' including insights on expertise and career building developed in cross-cultural environments.

I also candidly write about the pros and cons I've seen from working in foreign-owned companies for over 20 years.

On note, I write about themes such as:
・The reality of 20 years in foreign-owned companies and the working mindset
・Career redesign and 'career balance burnout plans'
・The honest truth and how to choose study abroad and overseas relocation
・Essays on career and heart, written because I wanted to save myself
・Short fiction depicting turning points in career and life, such as 'World x Job Change Short-Shorts'

Get the conversion code for the rough seas of your career and shift to a 'glossy life'✨. Career redesign.
May this provide you with insights and help you design a richer career life💫✨

November 17, 2025 [Living Overseas in My Own Way] newly established:

Derived from this blog where I have written about careers and foreign-owned companies as 'Flexible Career Life', I have newly established this as a second blog specializing in overseas relocation, overseas life, and studying abroad, with the theme of 'surviving overseas'.

This is my sister blog.

I hope you'll check this out as well.

[Why I weave my thoughts on Note, and why I share them]

"Last summer. 2024.

That was when a part of my heart broke.

The greatest humiliation I ever suffered at work.
The quiet betrayal from people I had trusted.

The world before my eyes faded away,
and I spent days not knowing what I was working for.

For a while, I lost my heart completely,
to the point where I was expressionless and could ignore people without a second thought.

But strangely, that pain led me toward 'writing.'

It wasn't that I wanted someone to comfort me; I just wanted to put into words, with my own hands, what I had seen and felt over my 20-year career.

Perhaps this could become the 'conversion code' for my own life.

I had a hunch somewhere that it might be."

[Flexible Career Life: Self-Introduction]

Nice to meet you,

my name is Juri.

For many years, I have traveled between Japan and abroad, working for foreign-affiliated and tech companies, while struggling with career confusion and searching for my life's direction.

I have spent time as a student and a professional in Europe, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Sweden, the UK, the US, and Southeast Asia. In my 20s, I didn't know how to handle my career and just struggled endlessly.

During my student days----------

I intended to go to a university in the US, so I turned down recommendations for domestic universities and moved to the US after high school graduation without even taking entrance exams. Despite that, I faced the reality of only being able to attend a mediocre university, gave up after two months, and returned to Japan.

I was interested in photography, but after being told by a prep school counselor to 'aim for a university with a higher deviation score,' I transferred to a different course, moving further away from what I wanted to do.

Thinking that following the 'correct, right path' wasn't the only way to live, I had set off for America, but having ended up back on the laid-out tracks, I began to search for a 'weapon' to build my career and live on my own.

I lost my sense of direction before entering university, and after enrolling, I only thought about going abroad. During my university years, I studied in Sweden, and later as a graduate student in the UK, but I couldn't find a job right away...

Just in case, I had built up my own work experience during my student days through internships at the Tokyo Stock Exchange and a media company in Italy, but the walls of the world were still harsh.

In the UK, I sent my resume to nearly 100 companies. Perhaps it was because I was filled with a passion to carve out my own path and a groundless confidence, and I was obsessed with wanting to work outside of Japan, on the world stage...

By chance, just before graduating from graduate school, I heard from a classmate I happened to be talking to that a certain company was looking for someone, and I finally managed to find my first job. However, I ended up in the Dutch countryside.

Even there, my hesitation didn't disappear, and just when I thought I had returned to Tokyo and changed jobs, I went back to Europe.

Around the age of 30, I finally felt convinced that 'I should build my career with this expertise,' but I couldn't get used to the inorganic corporate culture. I aimed to become a freelancer, but after one phone call from an agent, I ended up back on the path of a high-powered career woman.

After struggling so much with my career, I finally understood what a career is, and conversely, I became able to use my expertise as a weapon to tame my career.

Recently, I have often received job inquiries for C-level positions.

And, as I have come to receive various career consultations, I have taken several coaching training courses so that I can be there for not only myself but also for those who consult with me.

I myself have also become very involved in recruitment and conducting interviews.

What matters is not where you work, but 'how you want to live'.

My career design and job changes were not 'derailments' but my own 'personal answers.' 'My own conviction over someone else's correct answer.'

And what I have seen in my 20 years in foreign-affiliated companies is that 'thinking skills are more important than English proficiency' and 'flexibility is more important than having the right answer'.

May you be able to navigate the rough seas of your career in your own way and with complete freedom.

I currently live in Singapore.

My motto is 'There is a place for you anywhere in the world 🌍'.

I look forward to a long and lasting relationship with you ☺️ Thank you for reading ♪ Following is very welcome.
