T’s に行くと、私はほぼ必ずデザートまでしっかりいただきます。
When I go to T’s, I almost always make sure to have dessert too.
だって、次にいつ来られるかわからない、とても貴重な機会。
だからこそ、その時間をできるだけ味わい尽くしたいのです。
After all, it’s such a special opportunity, and I never know when I’ll be able to come again. That’s exactly why I want to enjoy the time there as fully as I can.
Yさんにデザートのことを聞かれたときも、
私はまったく迷いませんでした。
So when Y-san asked me about dessert, I didn’t hesitate at all.
最初から、すっかり食べるつもりで来ていたからです。実際、友だちがお食事だけだったのに、私だけひとりでデザートを頼んだことさえあるほどです。私がいつも迷うのは、食べるかどうかではなく、どのデザートにするか。
I had fully intended to order one from the start. In fact, there was even a time when a friend only had a meal, and I still went ahead and ordered dessert just for myself. What I always end up debating is not whether to get dessert, but which one to choose.

この日私が選んだのは、形が可愛くてお氣に入りの モンターニュ。
あれ……もしかしてこれは、フランス語の montagne でしょうか。
なんと、今日まで氣づきませんでした。
The one I picked that day was my favorite, the one with the adorable shape: Montagne. Wait... could that actually be the French word montagne?
I can’t believe I didn’t realize that until today.
もうひとつの名前は忘れてしまったのですが、たしかチョコナッツケーキだったような氣がします。
I’ve forgotten the name of the other one, but I think it may have been the chocolate nut cake.
この記事に出てくる昨年春のメニューを見て、
「ああ、これだったかもしれない」と思いました。
Looking at the spring menu from last year in this article,
I thought, “Ah, maybe that was it.”
両方とも、とてもおいしかったです。
しあわせでした 🧡

さて、お会計のときのこと。
Yさんが「ごちそうします」と言ってくださって、私はびっくりしてしまいました。そのあとにドレス体験をさせていただけるだけで、もう十分すぎるほど嬉しかったのに……。
And then, when it was time to pay—
Y-san told me she wanted to treat me, and I was so surprised. I was already more than happy just to be able to have the dress experience afterward, so that alone felt like more than enough.
どうやら、最初からそう言ってしまうと、私が遠慮してしまうと思って、
それまで黙っていてくださったそうです。
Apparently, she thought that if she told me from the beginning, I might hold back, so she kept it to herself until then.
なんというお心遣いなのでしょう。ますます感激してしまいました。
How thoughtful of her. I was even more deeply touched.
Yさん、大好きな場所で、こんなにも素敵なお食事の時間を本当にありがとうございました。
