Why do I upload data for all my clients into bixid?
The other day, an acquaintance who is a tax accountant asked me, "You only need to use bixid for companies that plan to use the standard license, right?" In this post, I will share my answer to that question and the reasons behind it.
Here is my introduction.
I am Takayuki Kinouchi, representative of the Kinouchi Tax Accounting Office.
When asked, "Is it enough to just use it for companies with a standard license?"
That tax accountant is also a bixid user who regularly utilizes it for checking client accounting data and creating management plans. His line of thinking is very natural. He suggests that perhaps only companies using the standard license features should have their data entered into bixid, and other clients can be handled as they have been until now.
Considering the costs, I can certainly understand the desire to narrow down the scope. I myself had similar thoughts in the past.
However, I replied, "No, my office uploads the accounting data of all our clients into bixid."
The reason for uploading all data is to manage "estimated tax payments"
For those who have not yet used bixid, let me explain briefly. bixid is a management support tool that aggregates client accounting and tax return data in the cloud, allowing the office to view and visualize monthly figures and tax payment amounts in a list.
Why do I upload data for all clients? The reason is that bixid allows for centralized management of the status of estimated tax payments.

As the number of clients increases, checking "which company is subject to estimated tax payments this month and how much needs to be paid" for each one becomes a surprisingly tedious task. Even for companies not using the standard license, the need to confirm whether or not an estimated tax payment is due occurs every year without fail. By visualizing this in bixid, you can check the estimated tax payment amounts for each client side-by-side, which makes the office's verification process significantly faster.
In other words, regardless of whether you use the simulation features or not, the data for all clients is worth entering for the sole purpose of "managing estimated tax payments."
Including tax return data strengthens client management
What is important here is that entering only accounting data is not enough. To utilize it for managing estimated tax payments, you must also properly register the tax return data in bixid.

Only when both accounting data and tax return data are available can you instantly confirm on the screen which clients need to make estimated tax payments at the end of the month. There is no need to search for the tax payment list in the previous year's tax return for each client.
When you aggregate data in bixid, including tax returns, it goes beyond being a mere visualization tool for accounting data and functions as a foundation for client management itself. For example, you can comprehensively grasp "companies with tax filing deadlines this month" or "companies with estimated tax payments next month" on bixid, which makes the entire office's schedule management much easier. My office targets all clients because I do not want to give up the usefulness of this for client management.
The tax accountant who asked me said, "I see," and seemed impressed. I felt that he understood that narrowing the scope based solely on the criterion of "whether or not to use simulations" means missing out on the separate value of managing estimated tax payments.
Even a free license is a powerful weapon
You might be worried about the cost if you include everyone, but bixid offers a free license. If your goal is simply to enter accounting and tax return data to check monthly figures and the status of estimated tax payments, the free license is more than sufficient.
Upgrading to paid features can be decided on a case-by-case basis when a client expresses a desire to fully utilize the features of the standard license. I believe the priority is to first get all of them 'on the bixid platform'.
Conclusion
The idea of 'limiting the scope to reduce costs and effort' is natural. Since bixid offers a free license, you can import data for all your clients without worrying about costs. By including tax return data in addition to accounting data, you gain a concrete tool for managing estimated tax payments, which also improves the accuracy of your client management itself. I feel that establishing this state across the entire firm will ultimately lead to higher client satisfaction.
