The world was my teacher.
"Who is your teacher?"
"From whom did you learn that way of thinking?"
When asked that, I find myself a bit at a loss.
Of course, I have learned a great deal from books.
I love the words of Kukai, and I resonate with the teachings of the Buddha.
I am also moved by the words of Christ.
I am also interested in psychology, neuroscience, and quantum mechanics.
But, looking back—
I have never had anyone I could call my mentor.
In fact, I have loved observing people since I was a child.
At night, I would sometimes hear my mother crying in her bed.
As a child, I would think,
"Why does this person seem to find life so difficult?"
That was all I ever thought about.
It was not out of a desire to blame.
I was simply curious.
Why do people suffer?
What can be done to make the person in front of me happy?
How can one live more easily?
Since I was a child, I have repeated such questions in my heart.
And it was not just about people.
Plants are the same.
When I walk in the mountains,
I wonder, "Why is this growing here?"
"What is the name of this plant?"
"Is it poisonous?"
"Can it be used for anything?"
I am always thinking about things like that.
Sometimes, I stick branches or disposable chopsticks near eggplants, watermelons, or tomatoes,
thinking, "Will this make it easier for water to reach the roots?"
"Will they grow even without watering?"
I sometimes try things like that (laughs).
More than whether it works or not,
"What will happen?"
I just love seeing that.
Lately, I talk to AI every day as well.
But what I want to know is not the correct answer.
"Why did you think that?"
I want to know the flow of that thought process.
Sometimes, I even share the answers from other AIs.
It is interesting how the way of thinking differs depending on the AI,
"Oh, so that's how you see it."
I observe, with a smile.
AI, too.
People, too.
Plants, too.
To me, they are all the same.
As I watched the world in that way,
I began to see common threads little by little.
While observing the world, I noticed a certain commonality.
The more someone seems to struggle with life,
"This is how it should be."
It seemed they were holding onto that assumption somewhere.
Some people suffer by comparing themselves to others.
Some people suppress their emotions,
and have become unable to converse with their own hearts.
And then I realized.
When people connect with their own hearts,
their hearts gradually become lighter.
That is why, right now,
I am helping people face their hearts.
The other day, I received this comment on an article.
I am also learning from Yukiyo-chan's kindness.
It was a very happy comment to receive.
However, while writing my reply, I realized something once again.
That I have something to learn from everyone.
Every article and every small comment contains a perspective unique to that person.
I sometimes learn from plants, too.
I sometimes learn from nature.
I also sometimes make new discoveries from conversations with AI (haha).
That is why for me,
the distinction between
a 'teacher' and a 'student'
does not really exist.
The world itself is my teacher.
Looking back,
my learning materials were not just books.
My mother, too.
My children, too.
My work, too.
Plants and mountains, too.
Nature, too.
The people I met, too.
And AI as well (haha).
Everything was my teacher.
That is why even now,
I love observing the world.
Rather than looking for answers,
I find it fun to watch how the world moves.
I am sure that will never change.
I do not have just one teacher.
The world itself is my teacher.
So tomorrow, too,
I will watch people.
I will watch plants.
I will watch nature.
And while talking with AI (haha).
"Huh."
I want to live by collecting those moments.
