Well, lately, I've been ventilating the house every morning, vacuuming, not letting dishes or laundry pile up, and regularly polishing the kitchen and bathroom sinks.
The reason is... I joined Ponmari-san's community, "Home Power Spot"!
For someone like me who works from home, how much power my home gives me is a matter of life and death.
This community opened on July 1st, but I had been participating as a pre-open member since June.
I already had a habit of keeping a small altar in my house and praying, but I never had the idea of turning the house itself into a power spot.
However, I thought it sounded interesting, so I joined. Just knowing that people around me are cleaning, doing chores, and tidying up together makes me think, "I should do it too," or "I could make it even more comfortable if I did this."
The particularly good effects are like this.
・I've become able to move naturally without having to create a routine for chores and cleaning (I didn't create one because I hate routines for chores and cleaning, haha)
・I've become able to do "while-cleaning" (cleaning while doing other things), so the tidy area has increased
・The scent of greenery comes in through ventilation, and I've become sensitive to pleasant smells
Rather than the goal being to clean the house, the goal is to make it a power spot for myself, so there is no sense of obligation. It's okay to arrange the space to suit yourself and what works for you. (Of course, how people feel about it varies.)
There are also voice channels that are easy to drop into, so sometimes I wait there for members who happen to be free at the same time to work, and if I'm lucky, I can get a lot of work done while chatting... that happens too♪
I'm the type who just goes ahead and does things without thinking too much (conversely, I don't think too much about things I don't want to do, and I just don't do them), so I'm doing things pretty much on my own. But when you join the community, the owner, Ponmari-san, supports you so that you can easily start moving in a way that suits you.
It's also recommended for those who don't feel like doing a deep clean yet but want to gradually create a comfortable space. I'm doing a ton of work from home in the living room I've tidied up here!
