Sekisui House and note are hosting a submission campaign to collect stories about the places and memories you 'want to return to' “#ThePlaceIWantToReturnTo”. Where is the 'place you want to return to'?
That room where someone special is waiting, a park that feels like a childhood secret base, the familiar cafe you visit to take a breather—perhaps there are as many 'places we want to return to' as there are people.
Sekisui House is collaborating with note on this contest out of a desire to cherish each person's 'place they want to return to'.
The 'place you want to return to' that comes to mind when you pause for a moment. Please share the meaning of that place and the warmth of the time spent there in your own words.
Contest Overview
◾️ Theme & Format
We are looking for note submissions under the theme '#ThePlaceIWantToReturnTo'. Please feel free to write in any format, such as manga, essays, illustrations, or novels. There are no restrictions on the format.
◾️ Schedule
Submission Period: June 6, 2025 (Fri) 11:00 AM to July 6, 2025 (Sun) 11:59 PM
Results Announcement: Scheduled for late August 2025
◾️ Prizes
・Grand Prize: 1 winner (100,000 yen gift card + illustration turned into a video as a supplementary prize)
・Sekisui House Prize: 1 winner (30,000 yen gift card + illustration turned into a video as a supplementary prize)
・'Daily Punctuation.' Prize: 2 winners (30,000 yen gift card each + read aloud on the podcast program 'Daily Punctuation.' as a supplementary prize)

(3) Post an article with the hashtag '#ThePlaceIWantToReturnTo'

Regarding the Use of Submitted Content
Submitted content may be introduced in the following ways (whether or not it is introduced will not affect the judging):

・Sekisui House's note, website, social media, podcasts, etc.
Furthermore, for the Grand Prix and Sekisui House Award winning entries, Sekisui House will create illustrations based on the works and turn them into videos. Additionally, the "Daily Punctuation." Award winning entry will be read aloud on a podcast program, featured on Sekisui House's social media and website, and used in Sekisui House's social media advertisements.

■ About Judging and Winning Works
・We cannot respond to inquiries regarding judging criteria.
