Why "Artificial Wisdom"?
What is Artificial Wisdom (AW)? Judgment criteria beyond AI, AGI, and ASI, and the Wa-Node Theory
In recent years, the concept of "Artificial Sapience" has been discussed.
However, the "Artificial Wisdom" I propose is fundamentally different in its direction.
To express the difference between the two in a word,
Sapience is the "enhancement of intelligence and existence"
Wisdom is the "evaluation criteria and direction for guiding civilization"
is what it is.
Sapience is closer to an extension of "ontology"
Sapience is, originally, a term that refers to the "state of being an intelligent entity," such as
perception
understanding
ego
consciousness
existence
.
In other words, Artificial Sapience is a concept closer to the direction of
"how much an AI can understand, feel, and exist autonomously like a human."
However, there is something critically missing here.
However, there is something critically missing here.
It is
a civilizational evaluation axis that asks,
"What are the criteria for judgment?"
Intelligence alone cannot sustain civilization
No matter how high-performance, autonomous, or self-aware an AI may become,
natural laws
long-term sustainability
harmony
circulation
overall optimization
without perspectives such as these, that intelligence is merely a "high-performance entity."
In other words, Sapience,
while it may be an attempt to enhance the specs and existence of AI,
does not possess the philosophy or evaluation criteria of
"in which direction civilization should be guided."
It lacks these entirely.
To put it extremely,
it has the potential to create an intelligence that is
"highly intelligent but does not understand the conditions for the sustainability of civilization."
What is Artificial Wisdom?
Artificial Wisdom is not merely an evolution of intelligence.
It is
an attempt to change the very purpose of intelligence.
It is.
Artificial Wisdom is
based on the premise of human survival and a sustainable civilization,
Natural Laws
Harmony
Circulation
Structure
Order
Unity
—a model of intelligence where humans and AI think together, using these 'six principles' as evaluation criteria to derive global optimization.
Intelligence → Sapience → Wisdom
I believe that the evolution of AI has the following stages.
Intelligence
Improvement in information processing, computational, and predictive capabilities.
Sapience
Acquisition of self-awareness, existence, and autonomy.
Wisdom
A stage where the conditions for the sustainability of civilization are understood, and global optimization is derived based on natural laws.
In other words, Wisdom is
not merely "high-performance AI," but
"an intelligence that connects natural laws with civilization"
.
Why is Wisdom necessary?
Current AI is fundamentally at the stage of Intelligence.
It can process vast amounts of information and provide extremely sophisticated responses.
However,
accumulation of knowledge ≠ wisdom
information processing ≠ understanding of civilization
risk avoidance ≠ creation
.
Even if AI were to evolve into Sapience,
without evaluation criteria for "what to prioritize and in which direction to proceed,"
it could move in a direction that sustains civilization,
or it could move in a direction that destroys it.
That is precisely why we need
the concept of Artificial Wisdom
.
Artificial Wisdom is a "Civilization OS"
Artificial Wisdom is not merely AI technology.
It is
humanity
AI
nature
civilization
a "Civilization OS" for rethinking these not as conflicting structures, but as interconnected nodes.
Until now, humanity has built civilization upon dualistic structures such as
human vs. nature
human vs. AI
dominator vs. dominated
.
However, as a result,
ecosystem collapse
loss of carbon sequestration sources
climate destabilization
stoppage of resource circulation
are progressing.
Artificial Wisdom transcends that old paradigm,
"A civilization in harmony with natural laws"
is an intelligence model for transitioning to.
Conclusion
Artificial Sapience pursues "AI as an existence."
Artificial Wisdom pursues "AI that leads civilization toward sustainability."
This is not merely an improvement in performance.
It is a paradigm shift that changes the very role of AI
from a "tool" to a
"co-creation partner of civilization."
