Pregnancy and childbirth are often calleda series of miracles.
I sort of thought so too.
But somewhere in my heart—

"I'll definitely be fine"

I believed that without a doubt.

You never thought you'd end up in an ambulance, did you?

You must have been surprised that the daughter you gave birth to was 1920g,
smaller than you imagined.

You never thought your child would be in an incubator,
or that you wouldn't be able to leave the hospital together,
did you?

Every single day after being discharged,
you spent your days delivering breast milk.
The me back then, you really did your best.

But it's okay.
The little girl who was only 1920g
is now in the fifth grade of elementary school.
She's a reliable big sister who even looks after her younger brother.
She's giving her all in her studies and extracurricular activities.

So—
don't blame yourself for giving birth to a small baby.

""Give birth small and raise them big""

There is such a saying, you know.
After 11 years, they are growing up healthy in both mind and body.

From now on, I will support whatever the children want to challenge themselves with
with all my might.
I will be their number one ally.

Until the day they leave these hands,
I will cherish every moment of this finite, precious time--.
