Q. Do you usually read novels?

I haven't had much time lately, but I make time to read them😊 I like the feeling of diving into that world, so among various book genres, I like novels.

Q. What was the reason you decided to read "Gold" to the end?

At first, my heart was captured in one strike by the thumbnail image.
"What is this worldview...?"
And when I started reading, in the first chapter, there was this sentence: "In this country, children born are handed over to the state within thirty days."
The premise of the world is different from the reality we live in.

With that one sentence, I decided I would definitely read it to the end!

Q. After finishing it, what stayed in your heart the most?

'How you live should be something you choose for yourself.' This is the one sentence from the final episode.
The premise of this world has changed.

The answer Noah chose while traveling the world and interacting with various people.
In the world of Gold, you can choose the way of life where 'parents raise their children'.

In the real world we live in, there are various restrictions on individuals, or sometimes we create restrictions for ourselves.

Even so, I felt that we should be able to choose how we live for ourselves.

Q. You have read both Yurari's novel, Gold, and Star Sand for You. How did you feel about them?
What are your impressions?

With Gold, I couldn't wait for the next installment... I never expected the same thing to happen with Star Sand for You... (laughs)

When Toshiaki's words in the first episode, 'Even if you die, you can become someone's treasure,' were brought back in the final episode when he handed the star sand to Kaito, I got goosebumps.

Personally, what I liked best was how Toshiaki's habit of 'choosing both' gently overlapped in the second half with the way Hitomi loves both Mirai, who is related by blood, and Kaito, who is not.

It was a world different from the worldview of Gold, yet I felt it was similar in some way.

The words that made me happiest were these.

'At the end, I quietly got goosebumps✨ I rarely have experiences like this✨✨'

As an author, having you feel that way after reading my work was the greatest gift I could receive.

Actually, the moment I received this comment, I felt my own heart swell, thinking, 'I wasn't the only one who felt this way' 🥹✨

What I wanted to depict in 'Gold' was not just the worldview.

Life.
Family.
Caring for someone.
And choosing your own future.

I am truly happy that those feelings were also conveyed in 'Star Sand for You'.

Toshiaki's words, 'Even if you die, you can become someone's treasure,' were passed on to Kaito, and the sentiment of 'choosing both' connects through Hitomi to her love for Mirai and Kaito.

I am sincerely grateful that you were able to receive all of that 😌🌿

And, I poured one more wish into 'Star Sand'.

Even if it is not expensive, something received from a loved one becomes a treasure that cannot be measured by money.

What is truly important is not the price, but the feelings imbued within it🍀

For an author, there is no greater happiness than having someone like HONO-san return to the world of the work again and again, making new discoveries each time.

I read it all at once again after all the chapters were released (lol). I don't know how many times I've reread it...
