This might be one of the benefits of being a freelancer.
Hearing that my father was feeling unwell, I decided to return home in a hurry.
I am grateful that as long as I have one laptop, I can work just as I do at home.
We had been messaging on LINE, but being apart made it hard to know how he was really doing, which made me a little anxious.
However, after seeing him and talking in person, he seemed better than I expected.
I was also able to talk a lot with my mother, and we even laughed about silly things.
They are also providing meals, so I am having a bit of an easy time (laughs).
I suppose I have reached the age where I worry about my father and mother.
I am sure things like this will happen more often from now on.
Today's work is being done in my parents' living room.
Writing in an atmosphere different from usual, my mind strangely feels at ease.
Being able to choose how I work for myself.
I realized once again that this is what I am most grateful for right now.
