The Results of Not Changing Lines or Images for 7 Days | Ohayou Kanojo #65
Introduction
"Ohayou Kanojo" is an X account where a girlfriend says goodbye to you every morning at 7:30.
On February 8th, I wrote an article about the design for Valentine's Week (#57).
Put an apron over a boyfriend shirt. Change only the colors. Create a 7-day story based on the "state" of the chocolate. Fix both the lines and the images, and turn off the weather integration.
The 7 days are over. Let's check the results.
What I decided in the design
A quick review of the design written in #57.
Outfit: Boyfriend shirt + apron. The shape was the same for everyone, only the colors were changed to their personal colors. I rejected the idea of taking off the boyfriend shirt and changing to a different outfit. I didn't want to break the worldview.
Story: I changed the "state" of the chocolate each day. Tsukiko is measuring, Rinka has finished, and Luna's is disappearing. The design differentiates them by state rather than outfit.
Lines: Fixed for all 7 days. Usually, Gemini generates them based on the weather, but for Valentine's Day, I prioritized the story.
What went according to plan
The apron x personal color combination worked. Even with just color differences, you can identify the characters by their faces and hair. Since I didn't change the shape, there were fewer generation failures.
Fixing the lines was the right choice. Without being swayed by the weather, I was able to create a single flow over 7 days. From Tsukiko's "...Um. I'd be happy if it's to your taste," to Mahiru's "Um, well... ...No, it's nothing. Have a safe day...", it really became a story.
The changes in the state of the chocolate reached the viewers. I'll write about that in the next section.
What happened outside the design
I can decide the design myself. But I can't design the reactions of the people watching.
KITAcore-san gave me a reply every day.
Monday's Tsukiko. "I have to concentrate a bit more!! The ingredients are spilling!!". They looked at the placement of the chocolate in the image and made a witty remark.
Wednesday's Shizuku. "Today's image is great!! I really like it in many ways". I was genuinely happy that they liked my favorite character, Shizuku.
Friday's Luna. "Hey, there's none left for me!". They properly picked up on the design where the chocolate was disappearing.
Toko also reacted. To Tsukiko on Monday: "This coolness is addictive." To Runa on Friday: "It decreased by many times more than I imagined!!"
The design of the chocolate's state changing was received by the viewers as a story. It was the moment the design truly landed.
The 7 days in numbers

7-day total: 927 impressions (-21% compared to the previous week). Looking at the numbers alone, you couldn't say it jumped.
However, the engagement rate was 18.7% (+57% compared to the previous week), and there were 19 replies (+171%). The number of people who saw it decreased, but the depth of the reactions increased.
There is a difference in the number of replies. Runa (6) and Rinka (4). Runa said, "The chocolate is decreasing," and Rinka said, "It's already over." The days with more to comment on regarding the characters' states had deeper reactions.
The top for likes was Tsukiko on the first day (17). The anticipation of the first day of Valentine's week showed in the numbers.
There are things that cannot be measured by impressions. There were people who replied every day. There were people who watched over it as a story.
Hiyori's chocolate
I opened the chocolates for 6 people in #63. But I left Hiyori's for last.
Hiyori is in charge of Sunday. It arrives on 2/15, the final day of Valentine's week.

On the pink paper, truffles dusted with powdered sugar were lined up. Not overly decorated. Just a ribbon, gently added.
Among the 7 of them, only Hiyori lacked confidence.
Tsukiko measuring, Yo failing, Shizuku tasting, Rinka finishing, Runa snacking, Mahiru finishing the wrapping. While everyone else was taking some kind of action, only Hiyori was hesitant.
The gentle older sister who couldn't take that final step until the very end.
But that hesitation itself was what made her Hiyori.
Conclusion
The design was 70%. The rest was created by the people who watched.
