Everyone Has a Little Magic
The magic to turn a red apple into a green apple
The magic to make a stone on the side of the road shine
The magic to prevent eggshells from falling in when you crack an egg
They really are trivial spells... In
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, the magic-obsessed elf (Frieren) often takes on quests that aren't worth the effort just to acquire such strange spells.
The real world we live in might be similar in some ways.
A story about how I learned magic without even realizing it.

"Your core is very stable; did you play any sports?" I was asked that the other day when I went to a chiropractor.
"Can you really tell something like that?"
"Yes, the muscles in the center of your body are quite firm."
"Is that so? Well, back when I was in elementary school, I did kendo..."
Recently, my weight has dropped to its lowest level ever, and I thought I had nothing to do with muscles, but to think they remained in my core...
Apparently, if you play sports when you're young, muscles tend to remain deep inside your body.
Come to think of it, I recall something.
The commuter trains have been getting even more crowded lately, and one morning, while I was being crushed near the center of the doors, the moment they opened, I was hit with pressure from all sides and blown right out.
Tokyo trains are insane. Everyone is a tough pro wrestler
backwardsI was facing backwards. Perfectly 180 degrees backwards.
The people around me also had a look of "Oh..." on their faces. It was a situation where, at worst, I could have hit the back of my head.
I was surprised myself. After a signal warning of danger raced through my body, my subsequent movements were minimal. I was able to check the situation behind me and land with composure.
Because I had been blown around so much in kendo in the past, my body remembered.
So, I guess it was useful for something after all...

I don't have any good memories of kendo. It still appears in my dreams sometimes. It's the number four nightmare I see most often.
Top 3 Nightmares (including nice BAD DREAMS from others)
A tiger at the front gate and a wolf at the back gateis a common saying, and that was exactly the state I was in.
The tiger at the front gate refers to the seniors in my kendo class. Since I was a transfer student, this also included my own grade level. If I won, there would be trouble later, so I had to make sure to lose skillfully.
The wolf at the back gate is a bit more complicated. I had to win against underclassmen who came at me with genuine effort, regardless of whether they were strong or weak. If I lost here, there would also be trouble later.
The seniors had a complex personality where they would not allow me to beat them, but also would not allow me to lose to those below me as well.
The wolf at the back gate also included the instructor. If my acting when losing was poor, I would be yelled at and receive a fierce blow to my mask. I had to lose while still managing to launch a certain amount of attacks.
Sharp-eyed readers might have realized something by now.
If you can win or lose so skillfully, aren't you actually quite strong?
I think the answer is yes. In external matches, I didn't have to worry about such strange things, so my win rate was unusually high.

In team matches, because of the teacher's theory that "the vice-captain is a dummy and using a sacrificial pawn helps the team win overall," I was often assigned as the vice-captain, but the opposing team would usually send out their number two powerhouse.
I wonder what the teacher thought about me defeating the opposing vice-captain...
Adults are blind. They don't see the children's community at all. An environment where children cannot give their all in a child-like way is the worst.
It might also be a matter of my own personality. I probably don't like defeating others. I can't stand it when the other person gets angry or cries.
Thinking about it that way, another, bigger problem comes into view.
Because you can think about it the other way around. Even if the opponent gets angry or cries, you want to win. You should stand on a field where that is the case.
I didn't want to do kendo. There was someone who scolded me and stubbornly refused to let me quit. The boss of the wolf at the back gate was my mother.
My mother is spiritually crazy...
I could hold a grudge about this forever.
However, that is exhausting in its own way, so I would like to consider the game cleared by saying I obtained a little magic instead of a quest.
The magic I obtained is,
the magic to be okay
even if I am blown backward on a train.
Surely, little magic exists to settle the nightmares of the past.
Let's move forward. Since I've obtained a little magic.
