I've come to see you again.
In hospitals and nursing homes,
today as well,
a small presence comes to meet someone's smile.
"I've come to see you again."
That small promise,
was delivered today just as always.
Not trying to change anyone,
just being by their side.
Even if they cannot speak,
their gazing eyes and gentle warmth,
mysteriously bring smiles.
This is the story of a therapy dog
whose kindness
leads to someone's smile.🐾

"See you later" is our promise.🐾

the "happiness hormone."
That is why the time spent gazing at each other or touching gently is a precious time where both can feel at ease.
"I have to do something for them."
On days when you feel that way,
sometimes you cannot find the words.
But, therapy dogs teach us.
You don't have to force yourself to cheer me up.
Just being by my side,
quietly staying close.
With just that warmth,
there are days when my heart feels a little lighter.
"You are not alone."
Such feelings,
even without words, will surely be conveyed.
Perhaps we are the same.
There are days when we cannot find the right words.
There are days when we don't know
what we can do for you.
Even so,
"I care about you"
that feeling,
just by being there,
can quietly reach you.
Thinking of someone,
and quietly staying close.
That kindness,
is surely warming someone's heart.
You, too,
might be
"someone others want to see again"
to someone.
Today,
may a small smile
bloom in someone's heart.🌸
