[End-of-Life Planning Diary] The time I had an AI create an exercise menu for me
Introduction
For a while, I had been continuing to exercise using a habit tracker.
Ever since I caught a summer cold, I haven't been able to get back into it, and here I am today.
This is really not good...
Today, when I happened to touch my upper arms,
They were flabby.
"This is bad..." I was genuinely panicked.
My muscle strength has clearly declined.
If things continue like this, both my physical strength and my motivation will keep dropping.
I have to do something.
Having an AI create an exercise menu
After wondering what to do, I thought of the method of "asking an AI."
I asked an AI for an at-home exercise menu to maintain and improve the muscle strength of a 65-year-old man.
I used ChatGPT, Gemini, FeloQ, Genspark, Claude, Perplexity, NotebookLM, and others.
I threw the same question at multiple AIs, compared and aggregated the answers,
and finally completed a one-week menu.
The one-week exercise menu created by AI
Monday's menu

Tuesday's menu

Wednesday's menu

Thursday's menu

Friday's menu

Saturday's menu

Sunday
Complete rest, or focus on recovery with light stretching.
Insights
I was made aware of several issues with the way I had been doing things on my own.
* I was doing many different types of exercises, about 10 repetitions each, all at once.
* I wasn't doing any warm-ups.
* I wasn't doing any cool-downs either.
It's no wonder my body was hurting, and it's only natural that I couldn't keep it up.
The AI's menu incorporates elements like "focusing on specific areas to train" and "properly performing pre- and post-exercise care."
I think I can keep this up.
Conclusion
Once again, I was surprised by the practicality of AI.
It supports me with things I wouldn't notice on my own and helps me build a system that I can actually stick to.
Without overdoing it, but still facing my body with certainty,
it looks like I can make a good fresh start.
