I finally made the battle scene I've always wanted to create. | Pollo AI | PolloAIxShironen Contest

Pollo AI is the tool I use for my regular video generation.

Since I started using it, it has become a habit to try this and that. There are so many things to test that the feeling of "I'll try this next" gradually builds up.

However, there was one thing I had never been able to try. It was something that would cross my mind every time I made a video, only for me to decide to do it next time instead. It was something that just never got its turn.

🗡️ The thing I had kept sealed away

It's an anime-style battle scene.

I've loved them for a long time. The atmosphere in the moment when a quiet tension suddenly bursts into motion, or the way light and shadow intersect. I wanted to try expressing something like that with Pollo AI at least once.

Ruins, night scenes, lighting effects, two small characters and a giant enemy. I wanted to animate images like that.

I have the characters. I have the setting in mind. Even though the image of fighting against a golem is quite clear, it never quite gets its turn.

Every time I made a video with Pollo AI, I thought, "I want to try this soon," but I passed on it every time. My judgment was that a battle scene wouldn't fit into a PR-context video. Even if I tried to include footage of a Shiba Inu and an acorn fighting a golem in a video introducing an article, it would probably be out of place. Well, that might be true.

When I saw the PolloAIxShironen Contest this time and read the description for Category 3, the Art & Expression category, I thought, "This is it." It's a category for expressing your own characters and creative worlds through video.

Finally, I had a proper reason.

The PolloAIxShironen Contest is a video contest co-hosted by Shironaru-san and Nenkoro-san, with the cooperation of Pollo AI. This time, I am participating in the Art & Expression category.

🎬 1st entry: In the moonlit ruins

The characters appearing are a Shiba Inu and an acorn.

The setting is ruins illuminated by moonlight. Crumbling stone pillars, cracked cobblestones, dust floating in the air. A giant golem appears there. The rubble scattered around slowly gathers and gradually takes shape. The two of them watch it while standing back-to-back.

They draw in scattered particles of light, focus them into a single point, and release them. I created a scene like that. The model used is Seedance 2.0.

Looking back at it, I think the atmosphere was good. The silence of the moonlight and the way the light spreads out at the end created an atmosphere close to what I imagined. The silhouettes of the two also clearly look like an acorn and a Shiba Inu.

Even so, there is little movement. It could be more intense. Since I thought that, I decided to do it one more time.

🎬 2nd entry: Once more

I made another one.

This time, it's a scene where they are moving at full speed from the start. Running up the slopes of ruins, kicking off crumbling walls to leap across, and launching continuous attacks at the golem. The two of them move in turns, sprinting through the debris as it collapses.

It's the same ruins and the same characters, but the movement is quite different. If the first one was a scene leaning toward quiet tension, the second one feels like they are constantly in motion. This is the one I really wanted to do.

I quite like the part at the end where the two of them strike the golem's core, and the shattered pieces scatter in all directions.

I think it turned out pretty well. Probably.

I'm starting to vaguely think about what my theme should be if I do this again. It will probably be a battle again.

I would like to thank Shironoaru-san and Nenkorosan for creating this opportunity, as well as Pollo AI. You can also see the works of other participants in the joint magazine, so please check that out as well.

As someone who loves battle scenes, I am secretly hoping that another opportunity will come around.

Afterword

Thank you for reading this far.

Actually, I love anime battle scenes and have always wanted to try making one.
There are still many things I want to try, but for now, I am satisfied that I was able to make something that moves like one!

Thank you so much to Shironoaru-san and Nenkorosan, who are planning and managing this, and to Pollo AI!

It would encourage me if you could "follow" or "like"!
I look forward to your continued support!
