'mysterious selection menu' in the bottom right of Google's AI, 'Gemini'.

When you click the bottom right of the box where you ask Gemini something,

'Fast mode', 'Thinking mode', 'Pro'...

even if you suddenly give me those options!

a set menu of pine, bamboo, and plum (lol).

For our generation,
we're the most vulnerable to this kind of 'which one is better?' question.

I'm scared that if I touch it clumsily, something weird will happen 😰

But, when I finally got around to looking it up,
it was surprisingly simple, so I've organized it in my own way.

1. 'Fast mode': When you want a quick response.
This is perfect for 'when you want to know a fixed answer immediately'.

It feels like this.

finishes it in 10 seconds.

2. 'Thinking mode': When you want to solve a problem carefully.
This shines when 'you want someone to think together about something that has no right answer'.

It feels like this.
It's like sitting at a desk with an experienced veteran
and having a thorough strategy meeting.

It takes a little time to get an answer,
but in return, you get a deep answer that makes you think, 'Hmm, I see.'

3. "Pro Mode": For difficult problems you want to leave to a pro
The word "Pro" at the bottom of the menu.
This was like the "Superman of the AI world."

That's the feeling.
It's like hiring a "dedicated analysis team"
rather than just an office clerk.
It shows its true worth when performing advanced calculations or reading large amounts of material.

automatic switching where it deepens its "thinking" before answering.

Beware of the "usage limits" of the free version!

However, there is one pitfall...

With the free plan,
there is a limit to the number of times

The number of times you can use it per day is fixed,

and when you reach the limit,
it will forcibly switch only to "Fast Mode," saying,
"No deep thinking today!"

If you think, "The response is a bit more curt than before,"

that might be a sign that the AI has run out of energy (reached its limit).

Start by getting friendly in "Fast Mode",
