Hello, I'm cooking expert Frao ^^
Hot days are increasing, and these days I find myself buying ice cream more frequently. When you
buy a cup of ice cream at a supermarket or convenience store...

You often get a "wooden spoon" in a paper bag, don't you? Even though you might think, "
I don't really need this...," you end up taking it "just in case," and before you know it...

"Oh. I've ended up with a lot of wooden spoons at home... What should I do with these?" Some of you might find yourselves in that situation.
While you can try to refuse them when you make purchases in the future, it's a real waste to just throw away the "wooden spoons" that have already piled up at home, and it's also not very environmentally friendly.
So this time, I'd like to suggest some ways to deliciously and conveniently use those "wooden spoons" that have piled up at home. I think these are perfect for the
upcoming hot season.
I hope you'll take a look!
What you'll need

Cup yogurt... one 4-pack
Wooden spoons... four
* For cup yogurt, we recommend using the "sweetened type".
How to make

First, make a slit about 1 cm long in the lid of each yogurt cup.
Through that slit...

Place the tip of the wooden spoon against it...

and insert it until it reaches the bottom of the cup.

Insert wooden spoons into all the cups in the same way...

In this state, freeze for about one night.
(You can separate the cups from each other either before or after freezing.)

Once the yogurt has frozen and hardened, peel off the lid, hold the wooden spoon, and pull it out of the cup...

Yes, that's it—you've made "easy yogurt ice cream" that you can make easily without any difficult steps.
It's delicious with a "crunchy" texture similar to sherbet, and since the wooden spoon acts as a handle, you might be able to enjoy eating it just like a store-bought "ice cream on a stick".
Also, because it uses yogurt...

Compared to regular ice cream, it has less sugar, so it might be a treat that people on a diet or small children can easily enjoy.
(Depending on the type of yogurt, it might even save you more money than buying store-bought ice cream.)
By the way, if the ice cream is hard to get out of the cup, peel off the lid completely and then...

if you push up from the bottom with your finger, it will be easier to remove.
For those of you who have "wooden spoons" lying around at home and are thinking, "I have wooden spoons piling up too. I didn't know what to do with them," I hope you will give this a try.

Please note that the beneficial bacteria in yogurt may be affected by freezing, so please understand this and try it at your own discretion.
| A Note
This usage method was written to help you make effective use of wooden spoons that you "received in the past" or "don't use but feel it's a waste to throw away as trash." Understanding this purpose, I hope you will refrain from "taking wooden spoons from stores just to try this method" (though I imagine no one would do that) and please be considerate of the environment.
