My first recipe book, “Inspiration Recipes for Days When You Don't Want to Do Anything” (published by Fusosha), is now on sale. Please check it out on Amazon, Rakuten Books, or at your local bookstore.
Hello, I'm Furao^^
This time, I'll introduce a “recipe that lets you recreate a McFlurry® for effectively 75 yen or more”!
“I love McFlurries®, but they're a bit pricey, so I can't easily justify buying them.... I wonder if I can make them cheaply myself?”
“I don't know what to do with my kids on the weekend.... Elaborate cooking is exhausting.... I want to know a recipe I can easily and funly make with my kids!”
If you have these thoughts, this content will surely be useful, so please stay with me until the end (^^)
Check the ingredients!
Here are the ingredients (for 2 servings) to faithfully recreate a McFlurry® ↓
Meiji Essel Super Cup…1 container
Nabisco Oreo…5 cookies

I've tried various store-bought vanilla ice creams, but I felt that the “Super Cup” was the closest to the original taste!
I also went through trial and error with the number of Oreos, but “5 cookies” gets you closest to the original texture! If you prefer extra Oreos, feel free to add 6 or more and enjoy your preferred texture^^
Now, let's look at the detailed instructions in the next section.
Check the instructions!
First, here is the general flow of the instructions ↓
Crush the Oreos → Mix with the Super Cup
It can be done in 2 simple steps (^^)
Since it doesn't require knives or anything and only involves simple tasks, if you have children, it would be fun to make it together♪
Now, let's look at each step in detail!
Step 1: Crush the Oreos
5 Oreo cookies into a plastic bag or similar↓

Crush the Oreos inside the bag↓

At this stage, it is okay not to make them too fine (there will be a time later to adjust the size).
Step 2: Mix the Oreos and ice cream
The entire container of Super Cup ice cream into a bowl↓

Add the crushed Oreos to it↓

Mix it!↓

At this stage, crush any pieces that are too large with a spoon to adjust the texture! Think back to the texture and appearance of the original while doing this ^^
Once the Oreos are at the perfect size, it's done!
Now, let's eat♪
It looks like this when transferred to a dish↓

It turned out almost identical to the original in appearance too ^^
As for the taste, it's a result that makes you want to say, "It's practically a McFlurry® itself!"
It's incredibly sweet, so eating one serving is very satisfying!
Summary
How was it?
By just mixing two ingredients together,
you can recreate a "McFlurry®"!
I introduced that recreation recipe to you.
Depending on the store where you buy the ingredients, in my case, I was able to prepare two servings for about 150 yen in ingredient costs, so that means I was able to enjoy a taste and texture close to the original for effectively 75 yen ^^

I think it's a very cost-effective recipe, so please try making it on your next day off.
In addition to this recipe, I also publish recipes that are easy for cooking beginners to make, so please take a look at my other articles as well!
See you next time!
