(No spoilers) We live in an age where we can watch movies anytime, but here is why I thought movie theaters are great.

Yesterday,The Super Mario Bros. MovieI went to see it. Rest assured, I won't include any spoilers.
When my son was a baby, I couldn't even imagine going to a movie theater, so I feel his growth now that he is able to sit through a whole movie.

My own movie debut was around the first grade of elementary school, and I kept going to see Pokémon movies until I was in high school. At first, I went with my parents, but gradually the people I went with changed, from friends to juniors who also loved Pokémon. At some point, the movie theater in my hometown closed down, and I wonder where I can even watch movies now.

We can watch movies anytime now thanks to subscription services, but I haven't been able to make good use of them. When I think I can watch them anytime, I end up thinking I'll just do it later.

But movie theaters leave a lasting memory.
Even if you go alone, you always remember who you went with or the theater itself.

It makes me a little sad that some recent merchandise shops don't have pamphlets. Since I was a child, I've loved reading about the director's thoughts on the film and comments from the voice actors. I want to read them in text, not just watch interview videos.

The Mario movie was really great!
I'm going to see it in 4DX next time. (My first 4DX)

Subscription services are nice, but let's go to the movie theater once in a while!
