Give Me Back My Heart-Flutter! ~I Thought I Was Being Doted On~

It has been raining since morning due to the influence of Typhoon No. 15.
Even though I wake up at 5:00 regardless of the day of the week, I turned off my smartphone alarm and ended up falling back asleep. Aside from a nap, I rarely fall back asleep in the morning.
I woke up at 5:49.
Since I wear a [[phFitbit]][[ph on my wrist, I can tell my sleep and wake times by the minute.]]
Noko (my daughter, 6th grade) hasn't woken up yet.
Perhaps because of the atmospheric pressure, my
[[pheyelids]]
[[ph and head feel heavy. My eyes won't open, and my head won't lift from the pillow.]]
It's a bit of a blow that I couldn't participate in real-time in the online yoga that starts at 5:30, but since it doesn't inconvenience anyone, it's not really enough to call it oversleeping.
I managed to sit up and stared blankly at the empty bed next to me. There is no sign of anyone downstairs. Mu-kun (my husband), who leaves for work early, must have already woken up and left. He can't commute by bicycle today because of the rain. Since it takes time to commute by train, he must have left the house at 5:30.
——Huh.
A soft sensation faintly returned to my head.
——Hmm.
I feel like my head was stroked while I was sleeping.
Very occasionally, I have nightmares and toss and turn. I want to scream but can't do it well, my breath catches, my chest feels tight, and a half-hearted sound that is far from a scream comes out.
At times like that, even if he is asleep, Mu-kun notices and strokes my head. The dream is still real, and I feel like I could explain it, but when I try to put it into words, it is full of the contradictions unique to dreams, and I don't know how to say it.
Like waves, Mu-kun's hand goes back and forth over my head, and I always fall asleep easily.
While waiting for the kettle to boil, I send a LINE message to Mu-kun.
I ask if I was tossing and turning last night. I tell him I have a memory of my head being stroked.
A reply arrived immediately.
You weren't tossing and turning, though.
I did stroke your head, though.
——He was stroking my head while I was sleeping even though I wasn't tossing and turning!
It was unbearably ticklish, and while squirming, I sent a stamp of a penguin blushing and blowing hearts. It hasn't been read yet. He must have started work.
——Oh, Mu-kun.
Outside the window, the rain suddenly intensified, and the sound of the rain grew louder. I blush all by myself.
Or perhaps, because it was the night I was told I had reached menopause, I looked different even though I felt fine. In any case, I can't help but grin at the 'love' of a husband who strokes his wife's head even when she isn't tossing and turning.
Hehe.
Today's work hours were long, and Mu-kun didn't get home until after 21:00.
While telling Noko, who is still awake, to go to bed early, I prepare dinner for Mu-kun.
Mu-kun is standing still with the TV remote in his hand, looking at Noko. If he turns on the TV here, Noko will become engrossed in the screen and won't move, so he can't press the button on the remote until the living room door is closed.
'That's right.'
Perhaps because he couldn't turn on the TV, Mu-kun suddenly opened his mouth.
'The reason I stroked your head was.'
Noko swayed her body while singing, said 'Good night,' and closed the living room door.
I remembered this morning's exchange, recalled the sensation of Mu-kun's hand, and my heart fluttered.
'Because you were snoring. I was trying to see how I could make it stop.'
——Huhhhhhh??
I had been letting my heart race like in a shoujo manga at Mu-kun's doting behavior that I didn't know about, but it was snoringgggg!
My embarrassment was flipped upside down.
My 'heart-flutter' turned into a scream of 'Aaaaaah!'
I don't (apparently) snore that much. It's just that I have allergic rhinitis, so even though I take medicine, my nose sometimes acts up. When my nose is blocked, there's really nothing I can do.
——Please, give me back my heart-flutter.
