An idol debuted from a bookshelf in Jimbocho
An idol debuted from a bookshelf in Jimbocho
It all started with TETSU-san.
When I was reading the inauguration article,
I saw someone
having a strategy meeting about the Candies with snow-san.
It looked like fun.
I decided to go take a peek.

That person's name is Yutogi-san.
She is a registered dietitian.
She holds a national qualification.
However, the job she chose as a new graduate
was not as a dietitian, but as a caregiver.
An unusual background, isn't it?
Yes, she even writes about it with a laugh herself.
But there was a reason for that choice.
She felt she couldn't plan meals for residents
without knowing the reality of the caregiving field.
I think many people
see getting the qualification as the finish line.
But Yutogi-san was different.
She was looking beyond the qualification.
She wanted to understand the field first.

However, that choice
was not welcomed by everyone.
From a registered dietitian, too.
From a caregiver, too.
From both of them, I heard they were told,
“You’re half-hearted.”
That’s tough, isn't it?
After all, it was a path you chose with effort.
But you know.
While reading Yutogi-san’s article,
that wasn’t what I thought was amazing.
They didn’t write about that experience
with resentment.
“Because I had that experience, I am who I am today.”
That is what they wrote.
The words of someone who has overcome something
are truly powerful.
They gently push
the backs of those who read them.
📖 This article is also recommended.
And that journey became a book.
It was lined up in a bookstore in Jimbocho.
I love bookstores, you know.
When I enter a bookstore,
I feel excited for some reason.
Unknown worlds are lined up there.
The lives of unknown people are lined up there.
My own book,
lined up on that shelf.
Just imagining it
makes my heart swell.
Yutogi-san
wrote the book as a testament to her daughters.
That book is now
lined up in a place where it can reach someone.

And in the article,
“I couldn't have seen this view alone”
she wrote.
I thought that was a wonderful sentiment.
She doesn't take the joy of having her book on the shelf
as her own personal achievement.
She is someone who can accept it with gratitude.
No matter which article I read,
it feels like she is writing for someone else.
That is the impression I get.
That is why I think this.
At the Takars Agency,
we call people who work hard for the sake of others
idols.
It is not a qualification.
It is not a title.
Someone who can put their own experiences into words
for the sake of others.
Such a person
is already a wonderful idol.
Yutogi-san.
Welcome to the Takars Agency.
From a bookshelf in Jimbocho,
Another one.
