The Little Prince from the Fox's Perspective
There was a line like this in A Tale of Two Cities.
If you look back on your long life and find that you have not received love, gratitude, or respect from anyone, that would be a painful thing, wouldn't it?
That day will come for me, too.
I truly believe that just by meeting that person, I can be certain that I have received love, gratitude, and respect.
I have truly loved as a person, and I have been loved.
Because I can believe that it continues even now, have I reached a point where I no longer need to seek it from others?
I suddenly thought of such things.
My best friend is the "Little Prince from the Fox's Perspective" in The Little Prince.
The wheat fields mean nothing to me. That is sad! But you have golden hair. It will be wonderful when you have tamed me! The wheat, which is golden, will bring me back to the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat...
My ideals are surely very high.
We can both stand on our own.
We do not depend on each other.
There are parts we cannot understand.
But we are together.
That is the kind of relationship I want to have.
By the way, fragments of thoughts and "essay seeds" that have not yet become essays are kept for members.
I update these short thought memos, which are roughly 100 to 500 characters long, on a whim.
It's like peeking behind the scenes, but please feel free to take a look if you'd like.
