How to Spend Money to Fulfill Your Heart: Spending Properly on Small Happiness
Lately, the moments I think "I'm so happy" are the small, simple moments in daily life.
Feeling happy
Feeling a sense of fulfillment
I truly believe that these don't have to be big events.
I feel that my heart is so fulfilled by these small happinesses.
The fruits in our home, lined up in the refrigerator
I have always loved fruit, and our refrigerator is always stocked with it.
Especially this season, tropical fruits are at their peak in Okinawa! Our refrigerator is filled with mangoes, dragon fruit, and passion fruit.
Mangoes are certainly not cheap, but they are in season only once a year.
I have decided to fully enjoy them during this time.
I never hesitate to buy them.
This is because I have decided "what I spend my money on."
What do you spend your money on? Your values become the axis for your choices.
I feel that your values naturally appear in how you spend your money.
What I value are "experiences" and "sensations."
Tasting the atmosphere and flavors of a place with my five senses while traveling, or enjoying seasonal ingredients.
Seasonal fruit is one of those things.
I consider them precious items that can only be eaten "at this time of year."
It makes me even happier if I can visit the place where they are grown.
What kind of values do you have, and what do you spend your money on?
What is happiness to you?
If you know that, you won't hesitate when making choices,
and I feel you can spend your money with a clear conscience.
Knowing your own happiness allows you to respect the happiness of others
Knowing "what happiness means to you" is important because
everyone finds happiness in different things.
It even differs within a family, doesn't it?
So first, rather than following the values of those around you,
you must properly understand "what happiness means to me."
And then, incorporate that happiness into your daily life.
It is okay if your values are different from your family or those around you.
In fact, I think it is natural for them to be different.
People who know their own values
become able to respect the values of others as well.
This is because they realize that everyone is a unique existence.
Properly savoring small happiness
Properly perceiving your own happiness
To do that, you must know your own values.
I feel that this becomes the foundation for creating a comfortable life.
