Announcement for Solo Exhibition: 'The Neighbor is Vacant: Escape from the New Town'
I will be holding a solo exhibition starting at the end of May.
This time, the exhibition will focus on the theme of the 'neighbor'.
A new town once designed as an ideal future.
Well-manicured streets and uniform lives.
Within them, slight distortions remain.
Things that continue to exist without being noticed.
Things that touch upon a sense of unease and come to a halt.
Or, things that try to break away from it all.
The normal neighbor.
The neighbor who is just a little bit off.
Our eyes meet through the walls.
Even though I am the one looking,
perhaps I am the one being watched.
Dates: May 28 (Thu) – June 1 (Mon), 2026
12:00 – 18:00 (Closes at 15:00 on the final day)
Venue: Gallery Natsumikan
Green Mansion 1F, 1-31-14 Ebisu-Nishi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
