The story of how I asked Copilot to 'summarize yesterday's activities' and my morning meeting prep was done [WorkIQ Sequel]
Good morning.
I'm Digisashimi, an IT efficiency expert 🍣
Previous episode recap 📖
In my last article, I wrote about how I was struggling for ideas for my note and asked Copilot, only to find that WorkIQ had evolved amazingly ✍️
Lately, I've been having so much fun playing with Copilot 😂
So, this is the follow-up.
It's a story about how I tried to see if I could use the power of WorkIQ more in my actual work 💪
The problem of morning meetings being low-key exhausting 😵💫
At my workplace, we have a morning meeting every day.
It's that thing where everyone reports on 'what I did yesterday' and 'what I'm doing today' 🗣️
I try to keep rough notes of my daily work tasks ✏️
I think I manage to cover most of the bigger tasks and meeting details... I think.
The problem is the 'little things' that slip through the cracks of my notes.
Like quick responses to questions on Teams 💬
Or Excel file edits that take less than 10 minutes 📊
Or small tasks I finished by thinking, 'Oh, I'll just do this while I'm at it' ⚡
I remember these things the moment I do them, but by the next morning, they have completely evaporated 🫠 (poof
And then, at the morning meeting, I end up thinking, 'Wait... was there something else...?' 🤔
It might be enough to just report the big tasks in my notes, but these small tasks really add up to a significant amount of work when you stack them up.
It's a waste not to report them 🤔
That said, it's not realistic to write everything down.
If I had to open my notes and record every single task, that would be counterproductive 😅
I tried asking, 'Summarize yesterday's activities' 🎤
So, remembering my previous WorkIQ experience, I asked this:
'Please collect my activity details from yesterday and summarize them briefly so I can report them at the morning meeting'
Just like that ☝️
And then—
It appeared. Everything. 😳
It picked up not only the big tasks I had noted down, but also the small ones that had slipped through the cracks of my notes.
The summary of a two- or three-turn exchange on Teams, the names of files I edited briefly, summaries of short meetings...
'Oh, right, I did that too,' one after another 😲💡
And perhaps because I told it to 'make it reportable for the morning meeting,' it's compactly organized in bullet points 📋✨

Did it even read the image export!?
Of course, I don't think it can capture 100% of everything.
But, my notes + Copilot's collection combined, the coverage rate goes up significantly 📈
My notes → Major tasks ✅
Copilot's collection → Small tasks missed in my notes ✅
Isn't this combination pretty much the best? 💪😂
This content, which would take over 5 minutes to organize while trying to remember it myself, appeared in just a few seconds ⚡
As I wrote in the previous article, WorkIQ goes out to fetch various data across the board without being instructed. It goes and picks up everything—emails, meetings, chats, files—all by itself 🏃♂️💨
With just a single phrase, 'Summarize yesterday's activities,' it gathered all the information scattered throughout M365 and formatted it for my report 🧠
…Isn't this enough for morning meeting prep now? 😂
When I had a colleague at work try it out, they were super impressed! 💕
Taking it a step further. Complete automation with 'Scheduled execution' ⏰
That's when I remembered.
That I had written an article like this before.
👉 'I let Copilot handle my daily morning schedule notifications' ~How to use the schedule feature~
Copilot has a 'Scheduled prompts' feature that automatically executes specified prompts at set dates and times 🕐
I wrote this article in September 2025, and since I didn't have many followers back then, not many people might know about it. But actually, it's a quietly excellent asset article that continues to get traffic from searches 📈
The setup method is simple 👇
First, run the prompt as usual ▶️
Hover over the executed prompt and click the clock icon 🕐
Set the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly), time, and number of occurrences 📅
Save and you're done ✅
Unless the specifications have changed, you can schedule up to 10 items 🔟

A world where your prep is already done when you arrive at the office 🌅
So, I did it.
"Collect my activities from yesterday and summarize them briefly so I can report them at the morning meeting"
I set this prompt to run automatically every morning at 8:00 AM ⏰
The next morning, when I got to the office and opened Copilot Chat—
The results were already there. 😲✨
A conversation with a bold green checkmark was added to my chat history, and when I opened it, my activities from yesterday were neatly summarized 📝
In other words, Copilot did the work for me before I even opened my PC 🤖💼
Morning meeting prep time → zero 🎉
All that's left is to quickly check the summary and add a word or two if necessary.
Even if this only saves 5 minutes every morning, that's 20 days a month, which equals 100 minutes. Over a year, that's 20 hours.
It's subtle, but it adds up to something you can't ignore 📊
WorkIQ × Scheduled Execution = The ultimate morning routine ☕
In my previous article, I wrote about the evolution of WorkIQ.
The old 'Work Mode' was passive. It only answered what it was asked 😶
The new 'WorkIQ' is proactive. It goes out and gathers data across the board without being told 🏃♂️💨
When you combine this 'proactive WorkIQ' with 'scheduled execution,' this is what happens 👇
While I'm asleep, Copilot reviews my work from yesterday and prepares for today.
…What is this? It's incredibly reassuring 💪😭
Moreover, as I wrote in the previous article, WorkIQ can even go and look at CSV files tucked away in deep SharePoint folders on its own.
That power is fully utilized even with scheduled execution, so results of the same quality as asking manually are generated automatically 🧠
⚠️ To be honest, there are 3 points to keep in mind
I've written only good things so far, but I'll honestly share some points of caution as well ✋
1️⃣ Scheduled execution, I've only tried it for one day
Yes, I'll be honest 😂
It is a fact that I set up the scheduled execution and was moved the next morning to see, 'Oh, it's done!'
But that's yesterday's story. Sample size, 1 .
It's only been 2 days since I posted it, after all...💦
Will it work consistently every day? Will any problems arise with long-term operation? I don't know that yet 🤷♂️
I'll keep using it for a while and report back 📝
2️⃣ You can't choose the model for scheduled execution
This time, when I tried the prompt manually, Claude Opus gave the best results ✨
However, the settings screen for scheduled execution doesn't have an option to select a model 😅
In other words, scheduled execution runs with the default model.
If you feel the results of the scheduled execution are lacking, I recommend this approach 👇
① Automatically generate 'material' via scheduled execution
② After arriving at work, copy that prompt and re-run it with Opus
It adds one extra step, but it's overwhelmingly easier than trying to remember everything from scratch 💪
I look forward to future updates that support model selection 🙏
3️⃣ The problem where 'yesterday' on Monday only shows Friday's data
People who see this article and try it will surely be impressed on Monday... right?
That's when I realized 😳
If you use 'summarize yesterday's activities' and run it on a Monday, it goes looking for Sunday's activities. For those who don't work on weekends, nothing will come up 🫥
So, I created a prompt for the start of the week 👇
OK)……But to be honest, naturally, I haven't been able to test this on a Monday yet either 😂
I won't know how effective it is until next Monday!
But isn't this likely to have the biggest impact? 🤩
The logic should be sound!
So,if you'd like, please try it out yourselves 🧪
Feedback like 'I tried it!' or 'I made it even better by doing this!' is very welcome in the comments 💬✨
I worked hard to write this today just for this!
Summary: Let's make Copilot our 'morning partner' ☀️
Here is a summary of the lessons learned this time.
🔸 Just by saying 'summarize yesterday's activities,' morning meeting prep is finished
🔸 When combined with scheduled execution, the information is already ready when you arrive at work
🔸 WorkIQ's 'proactive information gathering' × automatic execution = the ultimate morning routine
🔸 Saving 5 minutes every morning × 20 days = 100 minutes a month. The accumulation is significant
🔸 How to set up scheduled execution is👉explained in detail in this article 📖
Copilot is evolving rapidly!
I definitely want to make good use of it!!
If we work hard today, it's the weekend!
Let's do our best today💪
