[Shin 2026 Edition] I wanted to say "I tried cooking every recipe in a cookbook," so I tried cooking every recipe in a "separate supplement book" Part 5
I want to try "cooking every recipe in a cookbook"
Is it impossible? It probably is. No, I can do it!! So last year I carried out "I tried cooking every recipe in a cookbook"
【What if I could do it with the separate supplement cookbook that comes with a magazine!?】
With that idea, I successfully finished it!! (Over 10,000 characters)
It's too long and insane, so I'm splitting it up this year!!

So, continuing from Part 4, I'll keep cooking.
This is the final episode, Part 5!! Thank you all.
Supported by the insane feedback from intense fans who said "I want this to continue forever," I am finishing this run!!

【Daily Life Edition】 Husband's Birthday Meal
I'm taking a break from the "tried cooking" series to celebrate my husband's birthday.
This year's theme is 【Adult's Kids' Lunch】.
I went out of my way to the supermarket where I work on my day off to buy the Napolitan, potato salad, and frozen fried shrimp (that's one way to put it).
By the way, when I'm told "Thanks for going out of your way," I translate it into "Don't do unnecessary things!" because I'm such a negative Japanese speaker, but how about you all?
By the way, last year it was tempura and sashimi.

I pride myself on it being better than the kids' lunch I made before, though.
My eldest daughter said, "The karaage is salty," looked at my face, and used difficult words to follow up by saying, "Maybe my sense of taste has deteriorated," but it's fine, really.
Because it's true!!
And the store-bought Napolitan isn't popular at all. (It's my supermarket's fault)
But my husband is a true, true lover of hamburger steak and omurice, so he seems satisfied!!
As long as the guest of honor is happy, that's all that matters.
I give him a letter every year, and after reading it, my husband said,
"I feel like my emotions have stabilized after 10 years."
Huh... was I writing such crazy letters? That's scary...
Well, in a few years, our combined age will be 100.
At this point, health is the only goal. Every year for his birthday present, I put in cash equal to his age. This year it's 5,100 yen.
I had a colleague ring these up at the supermarket, but when I got home, this incident happened. I was so frustrated I sent them a LINE message.

When I saw the reply,
it said, "LOL, that cheered me up!! Thanks."
Huh?
I didn't do anything.
So, you should just show off your own failures a lot.
There are people who will be cheered up by it.
I never thought at the time that this would become foreshadowing...
Fried Tofu Pizza

With that said, I'll return to "I tried making it."

Is there any pizza healthier than this? It goes well with non-alcoholic drinks.
The little bit of tube garlic I added matches the cheese and brings out a great flavor.
[Last] Cabbage-packed Big Gyoza

Finally, the anchor for "I tried making every recipe in the cookbook"!!! Big Gyoza!!
Fitting for the finale. The dignity of a champion. It's a double-page spread photo in the cookbook too!!
The correct way is to put the filling and cabbage in a plastic bag, but
due to past trauma, I refuse and mix the ingredients in a bowl.

I used a plate to flip it successfully. The problem is what happens after that.

I couldn't slide it back into the frying pan well. I think maybe there was too much filling.

I really messed up. And this is the last one, too.
But you know what?
It's fine.
If this makes someone laugh.
If it makes someone think it's okay to fail, then that's fine. (Sounds arrogant)

Even if it's a failure, the taste is definitely good. Since I didn't add green onions or chives, it's refreshing and I keep eating more.
It's good to eat as is, of course, and it goes well with kimchi, and it would probably go well with cheese too.
It's a flavor that makes you want to arrange it yourself!!
Furthermore, if my family follows up, laughs, or teases me, it's a huge success. Maybe it's fitting for the last one to be something that leaves a memory.
What I realized this time
My failure makes someone feel better. Don't be afraid of failure.
As long as you're alive!!!!
Summary
Thank you so much, really.
It was tough to cook this much, but the adult's kids' lunch might have been the toughest.
By facing a recipe book, you learn your own weaknesses and clumsiness, like "I'm not good with plastic bags."
If you want to pursue your own cooking, facing a recipe book might be the shortcut.
Sakanaction's Mr. Yamaguchi once said,
"By imitating, what you couldn't imitate becomes your originality."
(Though I'm over-summarizing it)
Like, I won't buy sweet bean sauce. But I do want to buy lemons.
You start to understand your own cooking style.
I will prove it.
I tried a little too hard, so
I'm going to live on stir-fried meat for a while.
Thank you all very much.
I have compiled parts 1 through 4 here.
