I have created a corporate philosophy
This is Daichu from DAICHU Co., Ltd. Thank you for opening this page!
I founded DAICHU Co., Ltd. in October 2013. Since I am writing this in April 2026, I realized that 12 and a half years have passed.
Actually, for all these years, our company did not have a "corporate philosophy."
Why didn't we have one until now?
The reason is super simple.
It's because I never even thought, "I'm going to start a business!" in the first place.
(For details, please see my past self-introduction note below)https://note.com/daichu_drum/n/n2c804fec2e9f
I haven't been running the company with a high sense of purpose or as a cool management style of achieving something with a noble philosophy... I've been running it just to "live in the moment" and "make a living." That stance itself hasn't changed even now, and I think the members who work here share the same foundation.
However, 10 years have passed, and thankfully, the number of staff has exceeded 30.
I started to realize that it might be time to have a guideline so that the people working at this company can look in the same direction, asking themselves, "What exactly am I working here for?"
So, I got enthusiastic about creating a philosophy, but I hit a big wall.
The problem is that "no matter how I think about it, it ends up being a cliché."
Even after thinking about it for a long time and looking at other companies' philosophies, they all seemed like empty words, and I worried about whether there was even any point in setting one.
At that time, I consulted a senior entrepreneur, and they gave me this advice.
"A corporate philosophy is a daily guideline, so it's fine if it's a cliché. If the company grows and you feel it's different, you can just change it then."
With these words, I felt convinced. There is no need to be eccentric. I felt I could put forward words that are most fitting for DAICHU right now, without any lies or pretense.
And so, the first corporate philosophy of DAICHU Co., Ltd. was born.
"Enjoying challenge and growth, and pursuing prosperity together"
When written down, it might indeed be a classic and "cliché" one.
But for us right now, it fits perfectly. Please let me explain my own interpretation of each part.
① "Enjoying" challenge and growth
For me, "challenge and growth" have been inseparable for the past 12 years.
And above all, what is important is to "enjoy" it. Of course, there have been countless tough times until now.
"Oh no! I'm going to die!"
Honestly, there were even scenes where I wanted to scream that.
But looking back, I think I was able to positively enjoy even that nerve-wracking feeling as a result.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to continue managing for 12 years.
② "Together"
The reason I have been able to continue the company this far is definitely not just my own strength. It includes the staff who work here, of course, the business partners who have been with us for a long time, our customers, and the people who gave me various trials. I have put into it the feeling of "together with everyone involved" in such a broad sense.
③ Pursuing "prosperity"
"Prosperity" is very difficult to express in one word, isn't it? Money, time, peace of mind, fulfillment. I think the correct answer is completely different for each person. That is precisely why I don't want to force it, but rather want to "pursue" the "prosperity" that each of us thinks of together, using the company as a place. And I believe that by enjoying daily challenges and growth, we can definitely achieve that.
That is the thought I put into the corporate philosophy I set this time.
Of course, I am not a perfect human being myself. I might be scolded, saying, "You've put up a philosophy, but you haven't achieved it yourself yet."
Even so, this is a declaration of determination that "this is how I want to be at present" and "I will move forward toward this."
With this new philosophy in hand, I want DAICHU to continue moving forward.
Please look forward to our "challenge and growth" from here on out!
