Have you ever had a 'miraculous reunion' on social media with someone you had once distanced yourself from?

Today, I want you to laugh while reading about the 'pathetic end result of trying to show sincerity and ending up completely self-destructing' that I experienced the other day.

A sudden 'like' from someone I had distanced myself from

For various reasons, there is someone I previously 'blocked and unblocked' to put some distance between us.

It's a common story on the internet.

One day.

When I left a comment on another creator's article, a 'like' actually flew in from that 'person I had distanced myself from' on my comment.

“Huh, it's been a while.”

Feeling a bit nostalgic, I visited their page.

It seems they had gone through various things, both good and bad.

My wife's words and a '30 minutes' wasted in vain

When I told my wife about the situation, she gave me this advice.

“If they liked your comment, why don't you try commenting back when you have some time?”

It's true, I didn't leave because I hated them definitively.

“Well, that's true.”

Strangely convinced, I read their latest article and,spending a whopping '30 minutes',I crafted a comment with all my heart.

I fully utilized my vocabulary and sincerity as a web writer.

I have to say, I wrote a pretty good comment.

The 'merciless reality' told by the send button

“Cannot send because you have been blocked.”

……Huh?

An emotionless system message appeared on the screen.

“Wait, was I blocked before? Or was it after the 'Like'?”

The moment I understood the situation, laughter welled up inside me.

What on earth was that serious 30 minutes of mine for?

I immediately reported it to my wife.

Me: “I got blocked by so-and-so (lol).”

Wife: “Doesn't that kind of thing happen sometimes?”

……She's as dry as ever. I, too, just found this absurd situation funny.

Social media relationships are fine being dry.

However, I think this was for the best in the end.

If I hadn't been blocked, there's a possibility we would keep appearing in each other's 'Recommended for You' feeds.

From their perspective, they might have found my presence annoying and blocked me.

Thanks to that, I was able to block them back without any hesitation (lol).

We will likely never cross paths again. We just didn't get along, that's all there is to it.

In online relationships, these kinds of 'strange phenomena' can happen. But let me say just one thing.

I just want my '30 minutes' back, please (lol).
