How to Break Free from the 'Is Anyone Watching?' Feeling and Enjoy Sustaining Your Social Media Presence
Hello, this is Niiyama.
When you've been active on social media for a while, don't you ever get hit with this feeling?
No matter when I post, it feels like no one is watching...
I spent so much time writing this post, yet there's no reaction...
Is there really any point in continuing to pour my time into this?
Even though I now hold the title of “A companion who guides you toward 'resonant messaging'” when I first started on social media, I went through a period of over six months with zero likes.
Well, no matter how hard I tried to write, no one would respond to anything.
I know how much those empty days can wear down your spirit.
After all, I wasn't just repeating posts while sacrificing sleep; I was staring at a small screen all day long, missing out on the voices of my family...
That is exactly why I have something I want to tell you, if you are currently feeling lost in your own messaging.
These are four tips I practiced until I was able to feel that 'it was worth continuing to share.'
I hope my experience can be of some help to you.

1. Go out and pick up small reactions yourself
“No one is watching...”
When you feel that way, it's easy for your hands to stop posting, isn't it?
But that is exactly when I want you to try “reaching out to people yourself.”
For example, try leaving a comment on a post you resonate with.
Try sending a 'like' to someone you want to support.
Fundamentally, communication is a two-way street.
By opening your heart first, unexpected connections can be born.
Above all, if you want people to read your posts, you must first go and read other people's posts—that is the basic stance of sharing.
2. It is normal to have days when you can't write
“Oh man... I have no idea what to write today...”
Everyone has days like that.
That is precisely why it makes things easier to prepare content in advance when you have the capacity.
A list of your readers' concerns
Stories of your own past failures
Preparing ideas like these will lighten your mental load.
Just having fragments of ideas ready will significantly reduce the anxiety of days when you cannot write. Also, you do not need to force yourself to come up with ideas; just write them down when you are able to. That alone is enough.

3. Try focusing on 'small achievements' other than numbers
On social media, it is easy to get fixated on the number of 'likes' and 'comments'.
However, if you use only those as your measure of success, you will inevitably have more days where you feel down.
That is why I try to ask myself these questions:
Did I manage to write what I wanted to convey today?
Was I careful about typos and omissions?
As you can see, it is enough to just be conscious of these trivial things.
By acknowledging these small successes yourself, you will be able to notice growth that is more important than numbers.
In other words, this is a 'feeling of moving forward' that is hard to see but definitely there.
Once you can feel that, the words will naturally continue to flow.
4. Do not carry it alone; share your feelings with someone
As you have likely realized, loneliness is part of sharing content.
But just having someone who says 'I understand' can help you relax.
Sometimes you can encourage each other, and sometimes you can vent your frustrations.
Having even one such relationship will significantly change your ability to keep going.
But when I say 'peers,' it does not have to be anything grand.
If you have someone you can exchange even a few words with, that is enough.
Try reaching out to a creator you admire, or someone who always 'likes' your posts. If you are both aiming to 'share content,' you might find that you can open up and connect with each other more than you imagined.
In conclusion
Right now, you might feel like your words aren't reaching anyone. But please rest assured. That is simply because this is the preparation period before they do.
It is natural for it to take time for your words to reach people.
I am proof of this myself.
So don't rush; it will be fine as long as you continue at your own pace.
If you do that, the day will surely come when your words give someone the push they need.
For the sake of that moment, please, do not stop sharing your words.
