✨Where is the heart? The hidden whereabouts of the heart in everyday life❤️
Good evening, this is Miki❤️
Today I am participating in the Chibi Creative Awards❣️

Regarding Kakerun-san's theme of
"Whereabouts of the heart"
please check the details below↓
Well then, here you go✨
The morning train is packed again today.
I see my face reflected in the window and can't help but smile bitterly.
"I look kind of tired," I think.
I've had a lot of tough negotiations this week.
"If I could just see the other person's feelings,
I could negotiate much more easily..."
Thinking about that, I was looking at the scenery outside the window.
In that moment, it suddenly crossed my mind.
Where does the heart actually reside? In the past, I would have answered "inside the chest" without hesitation.
But today, that answer felt a little different.

I used to love watching people.
While drinking coffee at a donut shop or a cafe,
I would idly watch the people passing by.
"What kind of job does that person have?"
"Did something good happen to them today?"
"Are they meeting someone?"
I loved imagining things like that.
Thinking about it now, rather than just watching people,
I think I wanted to know their "heart."

The job of sales is somewhat similar.
If I can understand what the other person is thinking and what they value,
I can make better proposals.
That's why I was unconsciously trying to see
their facial expressions, tone of voice,
and even their smallest gestures.
But that gradually started to tire me out.
I was taking in too much of the other person's feelings.
I was trying to sense even the unspoken atmosphere.
Before I knew it, my shoulders were always tense,
and without realizing it,
my heart was stretched thin.
When I fell ill, I finally understood.
"Ah, I was watching people too much."
The desire to know people isa very important thing.
However, I learned for the first time then that trying to understand everything about someone's heart
can sometimes mean leaving your own heart behind.
I find it mysterious.
There are so many books, movies,
and songs in the world with the "heart" as their theme.
Psychology, neuroscience, philosophy—
everyone wants to know the heart.
Of course, I am one of them.
But one day, I suddenly wondered,
can we ever really know the heart...?
Even the person themselves
sometimes loses track of their own heart.
Saying "I'm fine"
while actually pushing themselves too hard,
or thinking "I'm okay"
only to have tears suddenly overflow one day.
The heart can hide
even from oneself.
And yet, is it really possible
to fully understand someone else's heart?
Surely, it's impossible...
But rather than trying to look inside the heart,
I thought about the things that person leaves behind
in their daily life:
a meal made for someone else,
a neatly cleaned room,
a casual word of "thank you,"
the time spent stopping to look at a flower on the roadside.

In such casual everyday moments,
I felt that what that person values
is quietly revealed.
Perhaps,
the heart is not hidden,
but has always been there
in our daily lives.
My tired face reflected in the train window this morning—
that expression is surely the heart, too.
The me who wants to know the other person's feelings in sales,
the me who used to imagine people's lives while watching them at a cafe,
the person who cooks for someone else,
the person who cleans their room beautifully,
the person who smiles when they see a flower on the roadside—
the heart was always there.
I used to think that "the heart is something that exists inside the chest."
But now, it's a little different.
The heart is not just something that exists inside the chest.
The words chosen out of care for someone,
the kindness offered casually,
the small actions accumulated
in our daily lives—
in each of those things,
the heart unique to that person is quietly revealed.
I no longer try to search for the whereabouts of the heart.
In the crowded morning train,
in the time spent facing someone at work,
in the single flower I stopped to admire as "beautiful"—
in every casual day like today,
the heart is breathing in all of it...
Perhaps,
the very days we spend so casually
are the whereabouts of the heart.
What did you all think?
That was the whereabouts of the heart as I see it☺️
Kakerun-san,
thank you for the wonderful theme❣️
If I hadn't had this opportunity,
I don't think I would have thought about it or shared it!?
So,
thank you once again♪
To all the executive committee members,
thank you for hosting such a wonderful event❣️
To everyone,
thank you for reading until the end♪
