Diary: How should I preserve my memories?

I'm thinking about how to preserve my travel memories.
When I go on a trip, I end up enjoying it with everything I've got.
You might say, "Well, that's only natural for a trip," but that intensity is a bit of a problem.I even get serious about playing in the sand.
I'm moved by the scenery, eat delicious food, romp around with the kids, and before I know it, the trip is over.
I completely forget to take photos or videos.

For a while, I thought about wanting a DSLR camera because I wanted to preserve my memories beautifully. But even if I had a DSLR now, I feel like I'd probably take a few shots and be done with it.
In fact,
"Wait, walk that way again."
"Give me one more with that smile."
I'd probably start saying things like that and end up being someone who enjoys a photo shoot more than the trip itself.

That's why I've recently been interested in the Insta360 GO Ultra. It seems you can attach this tiny camera to your clothes or backpack and just leave it recording. With this, even someone like me who forgets to take photos could at least preserve the memories.

I talked to my wife, who also loves traveling, about it.
Her reaction wasn't bad.

By the way, I had also been thinking, "You know, you don't actually look back at travel photos and videos that often." But the moment I tried to write that thought down, it came back to hit me like a giant boomerang.
For starters, I'm not the one taking them.
There aren't many photos to look back on. It's not that there are none, but most of them were taken by my wife. I am the culprit myself for not taking photos worth looking back on.

When my eldest son was born, I remembered the doctor at the hospital telling me, "Children grow up in the blink of an eye, so please take photos to preserve the memories." Just as the doctor said, it feels like it has all gone by in a flash.

With that in mind, I really do want to preserve my memories. When the children grow up and start living their own lives, if my wife and I can look at the travel photos and videos together and laugh while saying, "We had this happen back then," I feel like that would be a very luxurious time.
I want to leave behind a souvenir for our future selves that isn't about money.
Thinking about things like that, I'm currently choosing a camera.
