I've been doing this 'Tanka from Anime' thing every now and then, but I haven't written any recently, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to combine it with 'A Tanka from a Song'.

Some of these overlap with ones I've introduced before, but I'll ignore that... Let's go with Tanka inspired by winter-themed anime theme songs.

It's an SF fantasy where Kaina, who lives on the canopy above giant trees that reach the edge of the atmosphere, learns the truth about the world.
The world-building feels like a super-futuristic Nausicaä, with landscapes that stretch out like cold, snowy plains.
The characters wear outfits like those of people in the Arctic, which seems to symbolize the frozen fate of humanity.

The theme song for such a story, 'Telepath', isdivine.

This is the theme song for 'Vampire in the Garden'.

A world where humanity has declined due to the appearance of vampires.
It's a cold, wintry story that feels reminiscent of Russia throughout.

Because vampires are drawn to music, humans have completely sealed away entertainment, including music, and live knowing no way of life other than labor and combat.

It's a story about a girl who feels out of place in such a world and runs away from human society, meeting a vampire queen who feels resistance to living like a vampire, and they aim for a world where they can live together.
Overall, it's hopeless and lonely.

This song appears in that setting as a piece created by humans in the past. The human protagonist is captivated by this song.
I don't know the content of the lyrics, but based on this background...

This is the ending theme for "Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut".

The story is set in a fictional world, but it's a republic that somehow reminds one of the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
Many winter landscapes appear throughout.

The protagonist is Lev, a candidate training to become the first human astronaut in a space race between superpowers.

One day, Lev is assigned a secret mission.
An experiment to see how zero gravity affects the human body before manned flights... a mission to make a vampire, not a human, an astronaut...

Thus, Lev meets Irina, a girl of the vampire race, and they begin working together to reach space.

At first, Irina said she hated humans, but she becomes influenced by Lev's straightforward personality and begins to trust him.

The ending sequence shows the two of them riding a motorcycle, seen from behind, and the changes in their hearts are expressed only by the direction of their faces. After watching the story, it makes you feelquite overwhelmed...when you watch it.

A world exposed to the threat of mysterious monsters.
Ruby, the protagonist, enrolls in a school for training warriors to fight these monsters.

One of the friends she meets there, Weiss, is attacked by a monster that haunts dreams and falls into a coma.
To save her, Ruby's team enters Weiss's dream and challenges the monster to a battle...

Weiss's dream is a world locked in snow that resembles a dictatorship, hence the "Ice Queendom" title.
It is an anime with beautiful visuals.

This is a cool song that fits perfectly into Weiss's dream world.

This is the ending theme for "The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague."

It is a heartwarming romantic comedy about Fuyutsuki-san, who has just started her career, and Himuro-kun, a descendant of a snow woman who becomes her colleague.
Himuro-kun adores Fuyutsuki-san, but when his emotions run high, he causes a blizzard even indoors, and the story features the surprisingly cute side of Fuyutsuki-san, who rarely shows her emotions.

It is a song that fits the two of them perfectly.
