Self-Introduction

Resides in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. In 2020, won the Special Prize at the 6th AlphaPolis Historical/Period Novel Awards for "Sore wa, Yokubo to iu na no Umi," and made his publishing debut in 2022 with "Yanaka no Yojinbo Hagio Dairaku: Afuyo Nukeni Shimatsu." In the same year, he won the 11th Japan Historical Fiction Writers Association Bunko Original Newcomer Award for the same work. Other works include the "Hayate no Tachi" series (KADOKAWA) and "Dokuro: Nenshin-ryu Mukan-ko" (Hayakawa Publishing). His latest book is "Mikumo ga Kakeru - Nanashi Gishiden" (Ushio Publishing).

Yanaka no Yojinbo Hagio Dairaku: Afuyo Nukeni Shimatsu

Dairaku Hagio is a man feared as "Enrasetsu" (The One Who Blocks Enma), who runs a bodyguard business in Yanaka, Edo. Informed that his younger brother, to whom he had passed on the family headship, has abandoned his domain, he senses the scent of political strife and begins to investigate the hidden circumstances. What emerges is a dark connection between Edo and his hometown in Kyushu regarding the smuggling of the contraband opium (Afuyo).
To protect his brother, Dairaku confronts powerful enemies lurking within the Edo underworld and the domain government—a man who would even block the path of Enma walks through the darkness swirling with political intrigue!

Yanaka no Yojinbo Hagio Dairaku: Gedoshuku Ketto Shimatsu

After crushing the Genkai Party, an organization involved in smuggling contraband, Dairaku Hagio opened a bodyguard dojo in Meinohama, Shima Domain, his hometown. Although the land of Chikuzen seemed peaceful after the fall of the Genkai Party, public order deteriorated as several groups appeared, aiming to take the place of the criminal organization. Furthermore, someone appeared working in the shadows to take Dairaku's life, forcing him into a dangerous battle—the second installment of a period novel depicting the way of life of a certain bodyguard!
