'Chie-ko-sho: Chapter of Blackening' is a literary doujinshi that expresses, through poetry and short stories, the phenomena that can occur in the human mind through the use of social VR and avatar communication platforms. Beyond that, it is also a statement of philosophy that attempts to view avatar communication and the cultural activities of humanity prior to it in a unified way from the perspective of 'anthropomorphism'.

The 51 poems of under 140 characters that the author posted to a radio program within VRChat discuss various topics from the perspectives of anthropomorphism, beautiful girls, faith, and information. The subsequent 1400-character short stories are: 'Local mirror in the sky,' which touches on how the ability for anthropomorphism has been embedded in human intelligence since before computer technology; 'With the Heart of Watching the Sunset,' which brings to the surface the untouchable regions within oneself; and 'Visitor,' which directly connects the evolution of human cognitive abilities in ancient times with modern avatar communication. Furthermore, as novellas, it includes 'Egg Cleavage,' a story about having countless characters within oneself through avatars, and 'Aleph,' which depicts the act of anthropomorphizing everything as a form of madness. At the end of the volume, we have included an illustration contributed by VRChat user and illustrator Picos Yamamoto.

The cover art was created using Japanese paper collage.

The format is A6 bunko size, 186 pages in total.

It was also introduced on the '177th Kotonoha Radio'.
