[Blog Post] The 'Like Limit' on Note is my current nemesis
This is a story that connects to my previous article about AI beautiful girls, but whenever I open the Note top page, I always encounter a variety of wonderful articles. From personal experiences and how-to guides to poems, novels, and daily realizations, the list is endless. One of my recent pleasures has been wandering through the creators and magazines I follow, as well as the 'For You Today' section, and pressing 'Like' on articles that catch my eye or that I enjoy.
While spending such enjoyable days, I faced a certain problem. That is the 'Like limit.' I first noticed it when I refreshed the page after pressing 'Like,' only to find that the 'Like' hadn't been registered. No matter how many times I pressed 'Like' on the same article, it wouldn't reflect.
When I looked into it out of curiosity, it seemed there is indeed a limit to how many times you can press 'Like' in a day. Many people have written articles about this on Note. The content states that it is 'around 200 times in 24 hours, and about 25 times in 30 minutes.'
My honest reaction to this is, 'Let me like as much as I like!' (laughs). Certainly, if I think about it from the management's perspective, I can understand why they set a limit. The reason given for the limit is for 'system stability' and 'community health' by 'preventing the misuse of Likes.'
Honestly, I would like to press 'Like' without worrying about the limit, but... since I can't move forward by just complaining, I thought of my own solution. That is, to 'narrow down the targets for my Likes to some extent.' As mentioned above, I will mainly target the creators I follow, the magazines that have added my articles, and the 'For You Today' section on the top page. Among those, I will access and 'Like' articles that particularly pique my interest, such as those where the title or thumbnail makes me curious about the content. I have developed my own theory on what kind of titles attract me in the following article. Please feel free to read it if you'd like.
I have realized two things from this solution.
The first is that 'because there is a limit to the number of Likes, I have become more confident in my act of pressing Like.' Since learning about the limit, I have started to think, 'Do I really want to like this?' before pressing the button. As a result, I have become confident that 'I am pressing Like because I truly like it!'
The second is that 'my readers are also choosing my articles within their limited number of Likes.' Since realizing that, my gratitude toward everyone who presses 'Like' has become even stronger. Once again, thank you so much for always pressing 'Like'!
This time, I used the 'way to choose what to Like' and the 'gratitude for readers' Likes' that I realized through the Like limit as my subject. While cherishing the feeling of gratitude toward my readers, I intend to continue enjoying browsing articles myself.
