I Ate an Alien
Hello. This is Aono.
Via Kinokoro-san
I found the page of the first King Tenkun-san interesting, so I decided to write something myself.
I Tried Eating an Alien
When I opened the door to the storage room inside, a purple tentacle wiggled out.
An eye popped out.
Startled, I pushed aside newspapers and folded blue tarps, and there lay a dried-up alien.
Ah, I've done it again.
The raw material for aliens is sent to me once a year by my aunt in the countryside.
They sit enthroned inside a Styrofoam box packed with sawdust.
Usually, there are all sorts, from skinny ones to fat ones, but I've grown tired of eating them. I start with the fat ones, and grating them is the most popular way to prepare them. As if to make a final stand, they release an itchy substance to resist. Otherwise, the local star chef OKITAS said with a smile on TV that slicing them into rounds and drizzling them with sesame oil is delicious.
I always think an alien's skin is like the shins and hair of a fat middle-aged man.
It's a hassle to pull out the fuzzy hairs one by one. I peel them skin and all with a peeler, but if you leave them, they turn a reddish-black color. I've heard that the ones that turn reddish-black are young aliens and are rich in iron, but I wonder if that's true?
Anyway, a dried-up alien looks like it would taste bad even if you ate it.
But I tried eating just a little bit. The moisture is gone, so it's not tasty.
Goodbye, alien.
When a new alien arrives, I'll eat it right away. Aliens are so popular they are even exported to China.
Next time, I'll make sure to eat you over rice, alien.
End
This is a short-short story and an essay. It was a project by the first King Tenkun, but I couldn't eat 100 aliens. It's a shame.
