I, who used to be a resume geek

To begin with, why do I engage in 'life editing' activities?

My turning point was a setback at the airline I joined as a new graduate.
I quit the glamorous world I had longed for after just one year,
and there was a time when I was depressed, thinking, 'I have nothing.'

After that, through a connection, I started working as a university career advisor,
and I edited over 900 student resumes in one year.

Actually, I was so obsessed with writing resumes during my own job hunting (laughs).
I would research companies,
'Finding and articulating the common ground between myself and the company'
was a task I loved so much that I was considered an eccentric.

Influenced by that, I worked at a university as a career advisor,
spending my days in repeated dialogues of over 2 hours
with more than 300 university students.
Based on what the students told me, I would write
a 400-character 'self-promotion' or 'statement of purpose' on the spot.

Even as a child, I was the type to finish my book reports on the first day of summer vacation, but
'putting unspoken thoughts into words'is a passion that
has not changed since then.


After giving birth, I became a freelance writer,
and I have interviewed over 150 entrepreneurs.
That is where the idea of'One story for every person'came to me.

Even experiences that seemdisconnected at first glance, thetime spent struggling, and even the
choices that seem like detoursall turn out to be
'foreshadowing'when you look back.

However, organizing your own story alone is surprisingly difficult.
That is why I realized that through dialogue, a third-party perspective to look at things from above,

Half a year has passed since the release of 'Tashikana Koto' (Certain Things),
and the style of the sessions has been changing little by little.

In 'Tashikana Koto', we hold2-hour x 2 sessions.
In the first session,

It wells up within me precisely because I have touched the thoughts, hesitations, and the 'true wishes' dwelling in the edges of the words of the client in front of me.

Therefore, the author of 'Tashikana Koto' is the client,
and I am merely the editor of their life.

To be honest,
on the spot,creating a chapter structure is extremely difficult.Truthfully, I would rather take it home and think about it carefully by myself (laughs).

Nevertheless, why do I do such a difficult thing in front of the client?

It is because I want to turn thepassion I feel during the session directly into words.

Above all, I want you to witness in real-time the process ofyour own life vividly becoming a story.
'Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to say!' 'I can't believe my past connects in that way...'

'Writing' is not the goal

I do not make writing text the goal. In the extreme, it doesn't matter if you write or not.

What is important is that the client finds their'certainty'and reaches a state where
they feel an irresistible urge to share it. This is the goal of 'certainty'.

'Who do I want to reach, and with what?'


Once that is put into words, a person can start running without hesitation.
That might be 'writing,' it might be taking photos, it might be listening to people's stories, or it might be creating a new product.

launched their own new service in just a few days and recruited monitors.
