To another day added on: Salt gargling and a slightly hectic morning

Today, from the moment my second son woke up, his throat felt a bit off and he was feeling low.

Thinking it might be because he slept without a blanket, I had him put on an extra layer, gave him a warm drink, and focused on helping him settle down first.

When I asked, "Do you want to try gargling?",
at first he was just going to rest,
but then he changed his mind and said, "I'll try it!",
so he decided to give it a go.

When I said, "Then let's try adding a little salt,"

he accepted it, saying, "I'll try."

This is something my grandmother used to say; I remember when I was a child and my throat felt bad, she would suggest, "Why don't you try gargling with salt water?"

I don't know if it actually works, but it's like a little charm that always made me feel like I was getting better.

Perhaps it worked for my second son too,
because he said, "It's a bit salty, but it might be good," and instead of going back to the bedroom, he came back to the living room.

While we were doing that,
my eldest son woke up saying, "I have a nosebleed,"
so I handed him some tissues...

Before I knew it, the morning was flying by,
while I was preparing the bento boxes,
my husband finished getting ready,
and I heard him call out, "I'm leaving now!"

I hurriedly closed the bento lids,
and somehow, I made it in time.
