I tried using today's mission sheet! The reaction of my three kindergarten-aged brothers and the changes I felt after continuing it
It's summer vacation, isn't it?😊
The kids are full of energy from the morning.
"Why are you so energetic?"
I think to myself,
they have energy to spare.😂
I have three boys at home.
Anyway, it's lively!!
Being energetic is a wonderful thing.
I know that in my head.
But still,
Hot x Noisy = Mom loses her patience😇
You all feel the same, right? lol
To avoid getting frustrated as much as possible,
I want them to do what they can by themselves!
And, during summer vacation,
I want to increase the things they can do even a little bit!
With that thought in mind,
what I made for the 2025 summer vacation is
"Today's Mission Sheet"🙌😆‼️
If you print it on A4 paper,
you can make four mission sheets from one sheet.
This time,
I will summarize the reaction when my three brothers actually used it and the changes I felt after continuing it.😊
The moment I said "mission," the kids started moving

During summer vacation, at our house, after breakfast,
I was incorporating
"Today's Mission Sheet."
First, to the kids,
"Today, I'd like you to do this mission!"
When I told them that...
They started moving right away.🤣
Usually,
"Get ready"
"Let's clean up"
there are times when they won't move unless I call out to them several times.
However,
"Today's mission is to line up your shoes!"
Just by saying that,
"I want to do the mission!"
"Let's do it quickly!"
They were suddenly full of motivation.
Is it the influence of PAW Patrol? 🤭
Among the children, there seems to be an image that
a mission = something to be completed.
I'm so glad I named it a "mission sheet" instead of a "chore chart"! 😆👍👍
The moment they saw the flower stamp, they got even more serious.

I decided to stamp a flower on the boxes where they completed their missions.
Then, the three brothers' motivation went up even further!
Wanting that flower stamp,
They started working with incredible intensity, saying,
"Which one is next?"
"I'll do this one too!"
"I'm already done!"
And, since they are brothers, naturally...
a competition begins 😇
Who can do it the fastest,
who can get the most flowers.
They try to complete them at such a tremendous speed that,
"It's not about being fast, it's about being careful!"
I don't know how many times I've said that! 😂
They were so absorbed in it that
as a child's reaction, it was a huge success✨️
Even without a 'Hanamaru' (flower mark) stamp,
a hand-drawn Hanamaru,
a sticker,
a checkmark in their favorite color,
a small illustration,
or any other method that makes the child happy is perfectly fine☺️
The effects of repeating mission completion

What kind of missions did you include?
For the missions, I mixed in simple ones that can be done immediately and
ones that require a little bit of effort.
For example, for learning-related missions:
Draw circles with a pencil
Count from 1 to 20
Write their own name
Read a picture book
Write a shopping list
For daily life or helping-out missions:
Line up shoes
Fold laundry
Put away toys
Carry dishes
Prepare for kindergarten or school
and so on.
In our home,
once the children were able to do things on their own,
I also made sure to include things that would help me out🤭🤭
It helps the children grow.
It also helps me as a mother a little.
This is all good things! Lol

It's okay if you can't do everything!
With 9 missions, you might think,
“Do I have to make them do all of them?”
you might think.
But,
in our house, we decided it's okay even if they can't do everything.
If they can do one, they get one flower mark.
That alone is enough🥰👍
Depending on the day's schedule and the child's mood,
the number they can do varies.
There are days when they can do a lot,
and days when they can only do one.
Even so,
I checked what they were able to do together, saying,
“You were able to do this today!”
The children started asking, “Are there missions today too?”
After using it a few times,
the children started saying,
“Are there missions today too?”
“I want to do the missions!”
They started saying that😆

At first, it was a sheet I prepared and handed to them.
Little by little, it changed into something
the children looked forward to.
I think the big thing was that they were able to enjoy it like a game,
rather than feeling like they were being forced to do it.
Rather than being told to "do it,"
it's more exciting to be told, "Here is today's mission!"
The power of words is amazing, isn't it? 🤭

Writing with a pencil and counting numbers
have improved significantly thanks to this sheet. 👍
After actually continuing it,
writing with a pencil,
writing their own names,
writing numbers,
and counting the number of things they completed
are things I felt improved significantly. 👍
Even though we didn't start it as study time,
it was great that they could practice naturally while playing.
The most important thing when using it
The most important thing in our home is for both adults and children to enjoy the process. ☺️👍
"You haven't finished your mission yet!"
"Do all of it!"
If you start saying things like that,
both parents and children will get tired. 😣
If that happens, the mission you went to the trouble of setting up
will just become homework.
On days when the children aren't feeling up to it,
it's okay not to do it.
It's okay not to use it every day.
I think it's fine to do just one sheet a week,
or even just one mission.
Never push yourself too hard.
This is the condition for continuing to have fun. 😊
If you think you'd like to try it,
please head to the download page☺️
There is a blank mission sheet available!

Please print it out on A4 size paper and use it.
I hope you'll actually try using it and
be moved by the greatness of the mission🥰
For those who find writing it out a hassle,
there are also today's mission sheets ① and ②!
This is the Hanamaru stamp I
used!! It's super useful🤭

Introducing my excitement
These are the twins' indoor shoes.
I drew on them with a permanent marker so they can enjoy going to preschool😊

and my third son is a fan of Woody🤭🤭
