You Only Live Once! Why I, Who Lost 900,000 Yen in the Past, Am Trying Cryptocurrency Again in My 60s
I recently wrote an article about how the train I was taking from York back to London was delayed by over two hours, and how I went through the process of getting a full refund for two one-way tickets.🚆🎫
And today, when I checked my bank transactions, I saw that the 63 pounds I requested had been deposited.😆

The full cost of two one-way tickets really came back!🤭 It was worth rescuing the tickets from the trash can.🤣🤣🤣 I'm so happy.❤️ Cha-ching!💷 Now I can eat something delicious again.😋
I plan to go to London tomorrow for my ballet lesson, but like yesterday, I'm staying holed up at home today.🏠 The current temperature is 34°C.🥵 I'm cooling off with an ice pack wrapped around my neck.😂 It's so hot that I don't feel like going out at all.😂

David went to the forest again today.🚘🌳
Actually, a few days ago, a friend of mine living in Japan, N-san, invited me to invest in cryptocurrency. I have almost no savings left.😂 (Because I spent about 2 million yen at the dentist in 2023, and hundreds of thousands of yen each on Ruesi Datton and publishing my book in 2025.)
I've mentioned before that I lost about 900,000 yen in a cryptocurrency scheme... because of that, I intended to never get involved with cryptocurrency again.
However, two people in London who had invested more than me and had a painful experience at that time (one of whom is N-san, who invited me this time, and the other is T-san, a veteran with 20 years of experience in crypto trading) have both seemed happy lately, so I was curious.
Thanks to David earning money as the breadwinner of our household, I live without any worries, but I've started to want to try generating money on my own.
Currently, I sell "Ajiwai Dashi" and Shige-san's "Organic Gyokuro" at the Ranmika Shop, but the profits are negligible.😂 Even so, I continue these activities with the desire to "spread good Japanese products" and "help everyone stay healthy." (Please support me!🙇)
When I told David, "I'd like to try investing some of the money sitting in our bank account (his account) in cryptocurrency," he said, "If you want to do it, go ahead." So, I decided to give it a try for the first time in a while...
N-san, who brought this to me, said she decided to introduce this project to me after she had been operating it for three months and gained a certain level of confidence. (If it were an invitation from a complete stranger, I would ignore it, but...😂)
N-san was introduced to the project by T-san, who is knowledgeable about cryptocurrency trading, and she seems happy because it's going better than expected. Although there is some risk, she invited me thinking, "Wouldn't it be easier if Mika-san's income increased even a little?" I also had a gut feeling about it this time...🤭
So, today N-san taught me step-by-step over Zoom how to open a crypto exchange account and various other things.
If the project I'm working on is going well in three months, I'll write about the details. Everything might blow up in a few years, but😂 I felt like I wanted to try it this time.
For the first time in my life, I felt a desire to be friends with money and to learn about how to manage money and cryptocurrency! Actually, I've always had a mental block about earning money.😅 I felt like it was somehow a bad thing... but this time, I decided to do it because I genuinely wanted to learn how to increase my money.
You only live once! If I want to do something, I'll do it right away! (Thanks to David, I can do that.🍀) It looks like I'll be busier than ever, but I'm somehow excited.🤭
