Tips for Maintaining Daily Note Posts for 30 Days: 3 Things I Stopped Doing to Prevent Burnout

Hello, this is Murakumo.

I have been posting on Note every day for 30 days since I started.
To keep it up within limited time, you need a proper strategy.

I have previously shared what I have been mindful of since starting (how to use spare time), so please take a look here.

This time, I will introduce the things I stopped doing instead.

It is easier to keep going when you decide what to stop doing rather than trying to do more.
Once I realized that, daily posting became a little easier.

I would especially like those who, like me, have limited time for side projects to find this helpful.

1. Aiming for a 100-point article

When I started posting daily, I thought that if I was going to write, I had to put out good articles.

While I was studying and writing practice articles beforehand, the more I aimed for 100 points, the more my hands stopped moving.

I kept thinking, "Will this expression get the point across?"
"Isn't there a better structure?"

I kept thinking about these things, and in the end, time just passed without any progress.

So, I switched to just one thing.

"It's okay to be 60 points, just publish it."

It doesn't have to be perfect.
As long as something reaches the person who read it, that is enough.

Once I decided that, I felt lighter and became able to write articles.

This doesn't mean you should cut corners, but writing ten 60-point articles will build your writing skills more than putting out one 100-point article.

2. Wasting time

Since starting Note, I have dedicated most of my free time to it.
Entertainment like YouTube consumes an infinite amount of time, so in my case, I decided to stop watching it almost entirely.

To continue something, you need to stop doing something else.
Naturally, I cut the time spent on entertainment.
Just like with managing a household budget, you have to reduce wasteful spending.

Especially in the beginning, because I was doing 100% manual input for my unfamiliar writing activities, I never had enough time.

I did my daily posts while almost completely sealing off entertainment, but I believe that if you can manage yourself, you can have some freedom.
Therefore, it should be fine if you can set boundaries, such as deciding on a specific time to watch.

3. Setting Unreasonable Schedules

I abandoned the idea that I could 'find time by staying up late or waking up early.'

Since I already wake up early for work, I considered staying up late, but I rejected that idea.

The reason is that lack of sleep would interfere with my main job.

I solved this by using AI.

Furthermore, I set a time limit for working on each article.
Once it's finished to a certain degree, I publish it even if there are parts I'm slightly concerned about.
Through that repetition, my writing speed has gradually increased.

I also feel that by setting time limits, the density of the articles actually improves.

This time, I introduced three things I 'stopped doing' for my daily posts.

Note is said to be a stock-type business model.
In other words, it is a long-term battle.
Being able to continue for a long time is more important than anything else.

On Note, you can edit articles after they are posted. It is possible to look back later and aim for a perfect score.

We tend to focus on 'what we should do,' but deciding 'what not to do' allows you to put your energy into what is truly important.

I hope even one of these points is helpful to you.

Thank you for reading until the end.

See you in the next article.
