Why are people so overly interested in others?
They didn't say hello, so they must hate me.
They complimented me, so they must like me.
──Is that really the case?
Could such feelings of "like or dislike" really form so easily for someone you've only known for a few months?
Maybe they just said hello because you happened to be in their line of sight.
Maybe they just said "I like it" because they felt it was good for some reason.
That's all there is to it.
Even if I think "I like it,"
or even if you think "I like it,"
that is just"individuality."Therefore, it doesn't bother me.

My friend loves CoCo Ichibanya curry.
I've heard them talk about CoCo Ichibanya curry many times.
But I prefer authentic, spiced curry made by Nepalese or Indian people.
Even though that friend says, "I'm not really a fan of authentic curry,"
I don't reject them just because I'm not interested in CoCo Ichibanya.
In fact, I am interested inthe stories they tell about the "appeal of CoCo Ichibanya."It is a joy to
have someone show you a world you didn't know.
Yet, there are people who think"they are hated"if you don't like the same things.
There are also people who feel"rejected"if you don't agree with them.
Sometimes it feels as if the emotional distance is so close that it's suffocating.
Maybe they didn't notice your greeting because they were listening to music.
Maybe they were lost in thought and didn't see you.
Maybe they looked expressionless because they were thinking about what to have for dinner tonight.
Don't they ever consider such possibilities?
