○ "The Power of Thinking Lightly" Makes Life Easier—How to Adopt a Perspective Taught by April 22nd
Getters Iida has compiled
words that accompany each of the 365 days of the year into one book. It
gently reminds us of important realizations we often overlook in our daily lives,
helping us remember them.
I want to accumulate small lessons in my daily life. With that thought in mind, I look back on
each day like this. I would be happy if you could read this
at the start of your day.

The theme for this time is April 22nd:
"The power of thinking lightly is very important".
The message for this day is,
"By understanding that everything in the world has both good and bad sides, life becomes much easier.".
■ Overview: Look at both the "good side" and the "bad side"
Every event has both good and bad sides.
Yet, we tend to judge things by only one side, saying,
"This is the worst" or "Everything is ruined."
What is important is the perspective of
"While there are bad parts, there are always good parts and lessons to be learned as well",
taking both as a set.
By having this way of thinking, you will be able to
look at life from a slightly detached perspective and take things lightly.
■ Point 1: Do not judge in black and white
When something unpleasant happens, if you only focus on the bad side, your feelings will become increasingly heavy.
"It is natural for there to be both good and bad sides"—if you know this, you can maintain some distance, thinking,
"It just happens that the bad side is showing today".
That mental space lightens your heart.
■ Point 2: Accept it as "just the way things are"
Life has both pluses and minuses, and luck has its waves.
That is precisely why it is important to accept that
"it is natural not to be perfect".
Instead of thinking "a bad side appeared = I am no good," if you can perceive it as
"today was a day for the bad side to appear", you will develop the
ability to see things in the long term.
■ Point 3: Lightheartedness attracts good fortune
People who can think lightly do not get too caught up in failures or bad luck, and are able to
move forward, thinking "what should I do next?".
That accumulation will lead to new opportunities and connections.
On the other hand, if you keep focusing only on the negative aspects,
your perspective will narrow, and you will find it harder to notice valuable opportunities.
■ Small habits you can start today
When something unpleasant happens, try asking yourself this:
'What I see now is the negative side. So, where is the positive side?'
When you fail, it is also recommended to
try separating your thoughts into the 'negative side' and the 'positive side (what you learned)'.
And try whispering this to yourself in your heart:
'It is normal to have both good and bad sides. Today just happens to be a day for the bad side.'
Even if it is difficult to change the event itself,
you can choose how you perceive it.
I would like to relax my shoulders a little and spend today
with a lighthearted feeling.
