○Someone's smile becomes your own happiness—a heart that seeks to please brings luck and connections
Getters Iida has selected
words to accompany each of the 365 days of the year and compiled them into
a single book.
It is a book that gently reminds us of important things that we tend to
forget in our daily lives.
I myself learn
new insights and positive ways of thinking by reading this book every day.
I would be happy if you could read it at the start of your day.
This time, I will summarize my thoughts on the words for June 9th from “Getters Iida’s 365 Days of Stories to Improve Your Luck”,
about
“Those who know the happiness of being able to please others will truly become happy.”

■True happiness lies in our connections with others
People feel happy when they get what they want or when their wishes come true.
Of course, it is necessary to take care of yourself.
However, if you only chase after your own happiness, you may sometimes feel unfulfilled.
Someone smiles because of you. You are told “thank you.”
The warm feeling you feel in such moments
might be the kind of happiness that lasts a long time.
■Connections gather around those who please others
People who can cherish those around them. People who can think about what makes others happy.
Around such people,
people naturally gather.
“I want to see you again.” “It feels comfortable to be with you.”
Relationships where people think this way
lead to new encounters and opportunities.
Lucky people may not be those with special talents, but rather
those who can cherish their connections with others.
■Small kindnesses become your charm
I believe that pleasing someone does not have to be a big thing.
For example,
• Remembering what the other person likes • Speaking to someone who is in trouble • Expressing gratitude and words of appreciation
Such small daily actions are enough.
The accumulation of small acts of kindness becomes the charm that is unique to that person.
■ "Thank you" is a gift to yourself
When you make someone happy,
"I have something to offer others too"
you sometimes feel that way.
The other person's smile is also something that
makes you realize your own value.
Making others happy does not mean
sacrificing yourself.
I believe that for every person you make happy,
your own heart becomes richer.
Today, try delivering a little kindness to just one person.
That small action might,
in the long run, lead to your own happiness and good fortune.
