When the body closes, life closes too — For women, being unable to 'receive' is not just a matter of the heart —
Last time, I shared why women feel guilty about 'wanting more.' However, the reasons for feeling guilty about wanting more or finding it difficult to receive are not limited to the 'heart' alone.
Our bodies also carry those memories.
In my time working with many women, I have come to a realization.
It is that
the more a person's life doesn't go as they wish, the more tense their body is.
Shoulders are tense, breathing is shallow, the stomach is hard, and the mind is always busy.
'It's okay to relax more.'
Even when told that, they don't know how to let go of the tension.
Even when they think they are relaxing, they are always told they are 'tensed up.'
Yes, it was no one else but
me myself who was like that.
Whether you call it anticipatory anxiety,
or being sensitive to surroundings,
my consciousness was always directed outward,
sensitively catching even the smallest things happening around me.
I suspect many people have such qualities.
For example, women with children
are always focused on their children,
putting their own bodies and physical needs second,
becoming very sensitive to their children's safety, health, feelings, and attitudes.
That is a wonderful thing as a mother.
Especially when children are small, that crisis management ability is very useful,
and the higher it is, the more the child's safety is protected.
Similarly, in the workplace or in partnerships,
noticing the state of those around you or your partner quickly,
using your energy on that, or anticipating their needs,
noticing even the slightest differences and responding to them.
Through the accumulation of such things,
you are certainly capable at work,
and appreciated as a good partner because you can anticipate needs,
but for those who have lived like that,
the body is still always rigid,
unable to let go of the tension.
Because you are always trying to probe the state of the outside world,
thinking that if you don't notice,
if you don't do it yourself,
you have your nerves spread out into the outside world.
I think many women experience events
that make them realize their bodies have become
'unable to relax,' 'unable to feel safe and secure,'
and 'unable to surrender'
due to the accumulation of such things.
One day, suddenly, physical ailments appear.
Severe body stiffness.
Easily fatigued.
Poor sleep quality.
Caught a cold, but it won't go away...
From such physical SOS signals to
having no motivation to do anything,
feeling inexplicably empty as if there is a hole in your heart,
not feeling emotions like joy or happiness,
the accumulation of exhaustion leading to lethargy,
and even matters of the heart,
one day, suddenly, signs from the heart and body begin to appear.
The foundation for changing your life is the body.
At the meditation session I hold once a month,
there are many such women.
They are usually pushed around by family and work matters,
unable to take time for themselves.
Because both their hearts and bodies are always tense,
they cannot relax.
They don't know their own true feelings.
What do I really want to do?
How do I really want to live?
Such things are hard to understand.
I often hear such voices.
It is okay to want more.
What do you really want to do?
If you feel like you don't understand when asked this,
it is not a problem of the heart,
but rather that your body
does not feel 'safe and secure'.
You want to feel at ease, but you cannot.
That is not because your will is weak.
It is simply that your body does not yet know that it is okay to feel at ease.
Our bodies are built very wisely.
Protecting life is the top priority.
If it senses danger, it is designed to unconsciously close and defend itself.
If tension continues, breathing becomes shallow, the diaphragm hardens, and the pelvic area becomes tense.
Blood circulation stagnates, and the nerves are constantly in alert mode.
In other words,
you are using your life to survive,
meaning you are in 'survival mode'.
A body in survival mode prioritizes 'protecting' over 'receiving'.
You cannot receive the love directed toward you.
You cannot receive the abundance that is already there.
You cannot honestly receive the kindness of others.
You even become unable to feel your own true feelings.
In short,
I believe that the 'ability to receive' is not something that grows through the heart alone.
Approaching the body,
letting the body feel safe, relax, and regain its natural senses.
That is the foundation for changing your life.
Opening the heart and the body.
I often hear the phrase 'opening your femininity'.
But I do not think of that as 'acquiring something new'.
It is about remembering the life force we inherently possess.
Just like a flower blooming, letting both body and heart open naturally.
I believe that is exactly what it means for one's innate femininity to be open.
That is why I have recently come to value 'aligning from the body' so much.
As I have tried various physical approaches myself,
I have truly felt its importance,
and since then, my sensitivity has increased,
my intuition has sharpened,
many things have been progressing smoothly,
and I have become more capable of receiving the benefits of external help, not just my own efforts.
—As the body warms up, circulation improves, and the nervous system remembers what it feels like to be safe—
That accumulation of experiences cultivates the sense that 'it is okay for me to receive'
not in the head, but in the body itself.
When trying to change their lives, most people try to start with their thoughts.
But the body does not lie.
If the body is closed, life will also close off in some way.
Conversely, when the body feels safe and begins to open up, a person gradually regains their innate life force, and naturally becomes able to receive love, abundance, and joy.
Goddess-like nature is not a special ability.
It is a state where life is blooming in safety.
I want to increase the number of such women, even if just by one.
